Endurance

Hi, I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding how it works but I had a couple of confusing moments today. I've read the info on the wiki but didn't really get an answer. I've never used endurance perks until recently so forgive my ignorance.

First game - killer had Make Your Choice. I get unhooked, killer starts coming back to hook. Claudette has We'll Make It, and I have Off The Record. She quickly heals me, so I haven't done any conspicuous actions, then I run at killer to take the hit to protect Claudette. I just go from healthy to injured - no endurance/deep wound. My OTR is still active. I can't remember if the endurance icon showed on my HUD.

Next game - get picked up in front of the killer by an Ash with Buckle Up. Endurance icon is definitely showing. I run around a short wall, expecting to take the endurance hit and get to a safer tile close by, but the killer hits me and I just go down. No endurance/deep wound, even though the icon was still active on my screen.

First killer was Huntress, second was Wesker, and both hit me with basic attacks.

Thanks for any info!

endurance procs when you should go down, and its an extra health state

if you were to go from healthy to downed, itll instead take you to deep wound (im not 100% sure if it actually procs here, but i remember at some point it did and idk if thats been changed). if you were to go from injured to downed, it instead takes you to deep wound

if you get hit with endurance while in deep wound already, it does nothing and you go down

your first game you went from healthy to injured, endurance never proccd

second game your explanation doesnt tell me alot. your endurance mightve timed out, or maybe you got grabbed (which ignores endurance. you did say that you were m1d both times but maybe you considered a grab an m1? id have to see what happened second game for endurance to not have worked)

In the first game, Endurance didn't do anything since you were never hit by an attack that would've otherwise downed you, because you were healthy. Endurance only prevents you from being downed, it does not prevent you from becoming injured. In the event you are Exposed or hit by a special attack that instadowns while healthy with Endurance, then you will go straight from healthy to deep wound (and become injured).

The scenario in the second game sounds weird though, provided that you took no conspicuous action, didn't get hit right as the Endurance ran out, or didn't get grabbed (you said basic attack so I'm assuming not), I'm not sure what happened there.

Thanks! First game makes sense. So since I was healthy, my endurance didn't work. I'll remember that.

Second game was definitely a basic hit, I was looking right at him as he swung at me and it hadn't timed out as it was my plan to intentionally take a hit with it. I was just stumped when I went down.

for the first instance; i'm sure otr puts you into deep wounds if you get hit by a double hit attack while healthy so even though it didn't show the endurance status on the right, it would put you to deep wounds if the killer hit you again. idk about the second game, either you didn't realize the timing with the heat of the moment or it simply bugged.
