Midchapter 7.3.0 - FAN-PATCHNOTES - MADE BY MYSELF - ENJOY AND CRITIZISE FREELY
As for the reason that I like Midchapters far more than new chapters and for the fact that I cant wait for the next - hopefully - huge Midchapter with some nice changes to the game - I decided to do the Peanits-/Omnia-Thing and post my OWN next Midchapter which obviously includes my Wishlist came true. So just for fun, but I do hope you find something that you would love to see too.

Can you imagine? Halloween is - once again - close in front of our doors and, of course, the entity´s realm is preparing itself for this huge event of horror. As Horror is something we all recognize as something special throughout the year, we have some exciting things to share with all of you. Lets not waste any more time, because time is a very important task in all horror-experiences, and jump right into our long-awaited Midchapter. Let us begin!
Survivor HUD-Adjustments
After the release of this feature in January 2023, we´ve received a lot of positive feedback throughout the entire community. Now even Solo Survivors are capable of knowing exactly what everyone is the team is doing at the current state of the game. We ain´t gonna change that. To extend this feature, we are happy to annouce that from now on you will be able to see the progress of opening Exit-Gates and Cleansing-/Blessing a totem as well.
While this information seems small, it can make a huge difference in finding the best strategy to escape the trial or get caught by the killer, for example if you run to an unfinished exit-gate, not knowing that the other one is almost finished.
We hope you´ll find these little adjustments as helpful as they are meant to be and we look forward to hear your feedback after you tried it out.
The Nightmare
Freddy Krueger is one of the oldest killers in the history of the game. After receiving an entire rework in Patch 3.1.0 in 2019 and some changes in the upcoming patches, the game changed a lot, but Freddy stand the same. With this in mind, we have some adjustments in store for you to make The Nightmare a thred that cant be ignored.
Dream Snares / Dream Pallets
When The Nightmare is using certain addons (f.e. the Garden Rake), he is capable of placing Dream Pallets around the map on certain spots. While these pallets are invisible for awake survivors, they are a dangerous illusion when survivors are asleep and in Freddys Domain. However: On some maps The Nightmare has to break pallets before he is capable of placing a Dream Pallet, which gives him a handicap when selecting this power over the Dream Snares. Also, if your opponents are "Survivors with Friends", they can call out the fake pallets to avoid getting surprised by these illusion.
To remedy this, we´ve decided to add the Dream Pallets into his Basekit to allow The Nightmare to freely switch which power (Dream Snares or Dream Pallets) are needed.
As for Dream Snares, we have decided to remedy the speed-penalty when placing or holding a Dream Snare.
Both abilities have a shared token-system of 10 tokens, however, you can only use 5 tokens per ability.
The Dream World
The Dream World is Freddys Domain. When you are trapped inside the Dream World, you can be afflicted by his Dream Snares and his Dream Pallets. Also, The Nightmare receive a shorter Cooldown on his teleporting abilites. Besides this, you suffer from the Oblivious-Status-Effect. However, a lot of you figured out that in most cases there is no really a need for waking up. To make the Dream World more terrifying than ever, we´ve added a Hindered-Status-Effect after a period of time, if you stay for too long inside the Dream-World, making you an easier prey for The Nightmare. To make sure nothing goes out of control, we have added the ability to wake-up from any Alarm Clock around the map. However, the Alarm Clocks suffer from a lenghty cooldown, so you and your team cannot use the same Alarm Clock over and over again. So be careful!
Add-ons
With the introduction of the Dream Pallets into the Basekit of the Nightmare, there are some Dream-Pallet-Addons ready for changes. After reviewing the Addons, we´ve decided to do an entire Addon-Pass, because a lot of addons feel outdated and do not match with the new changes.
- Red Paint Brush: added effect: After all generators are completed, every survivor falls asleep immedialy.
- Z-Block: Inflicts the Hemmorhage- and Blindness-Effect for 90sec when triggering a Dream Snare or Dream Pallet
- Swing Chains: Increases the duration of Dream Snares by 2 seconds
- Jump Rope: When breaking a Dream Pallet, the animation took 1 sec longer
- Paint Thinner: Survivors who trigger a Dream Snare or Dream Pallet have their auras revealed for 4 seconds
- Unicorn-Block: When channeling Dream Projection, the channeling is 1 sec shorter.
- Cat-Block: When channeling Dream Projection, see the aura of yourself on which side of the generator you´ll be emerge.
- Green Dress: Skill-Checks-Zones in the dreamworld are 10% harder to hit.
- Outdoor-Rope: When interacting with a Dream Pallet, reveal the aura of all survivors for 2 seconds, who are outside of your Terror-Radius or Lullaby.
- Prototype Claw: Add 2 Dream-Pallet-Tokens
- Garden Rake: Add 1 Dream-Snare-Token
- Sheep Block: Extend the cooldown for Alarm-Clocks by 5 seconds
Killer Tweaks
Additionally, we have a small set of adjustments making their way to this update as well.
The Blight:
We have some Addon-changes in store for The Blight:
Compound Thirty-Three
This addon allows The Blight to instantly destroy a nearby pallet. Also will any survivor be hindered for 3% for 3 seconds.
He have removed the Hindered-Status-Effect.
Alchemist-Ring
This addon instantly recharge all Rush-Tokens after hitting a survivor with a Lethal Rush. To bring this addon in line with other addons, we´ve decided to limit the amout of rushes which are instantly recharded by 3 (2 rushes instantly recharded)
Adrenaline Vial
We have decreased the increased Rushing speed to 5% (was 10%).
Canker Thorn
Decreases recovery time after Rushing by 1sec (was 0,5sec)
Foxclove
Decreases Rush recovery time by 0.5seconds (was 0.25sec)
The Ghostface:
"Philly" will become a rare addon, while Lasting Perfume will become a common addon.

I would not change Ghostface brown addons, I think it is a really good thing that they started making brown addons actually being good, they might even be some of his strongest addons, but that's fine, they are not too strong and only number tweaks...
The ultra fast pallet break on Blight is probably still too much even on its own.
Freddy is fine I guess, but I would make an exception from the hindered when in chase.... Because otherwise he can just chase you long enough for hindered to kick in and then make you eventually go down even if he wouldn't have gotten it without that. Waking up during chase won't be a thing I guess...

C33 will still be really strong even without the hindered. The pallet breaking portion of it is OP imo.

Good effort but sadly Blight add-ons are still busted.
C33 and Alch Ring needs reworks.
His speed add-ons needs nerfs too because they are stackable. And i don't think any of his add-ons needs any buff.
I liked Freddy changes tho.
