The Truth
Survivors basically have invulnerability shields at windows. But there is oh so much more to it.
The endurance spam is infuriating. There are way to many ways to proc endurance giving a bonus health state. Most survivors take a minimum of three hits to take down anymore.
The gen speeds are goofy. BHVR undid their nerf to gen speeds by giving survivors so many perks that increase their repair speed now. So yeah while base gens technically take longer than they used to. They actually take less time in practice thanks to all the perks and boxes.
Survivors are actually more powerful when injured now as they run faster, vault faster, heal faster, and repair faster.
And Windows of Opportunity quite literally plays one of the harder parts of the game for you. Pathing used to be something that required time to learn and skill to apply. But Windows of Opportunity does your pathing for you now. You literally know exactly what is safe and where to go next.
And the cherry on top of all of it is the same survivors who are living in this luxurious era for survivor will you without a hint of irony claim killer is OP and easier than ever. Even though Killers best perks have all been nerfed. And the killers themselves keep getting nerfed. And even more hilariously the two most recent killers have been designed to be rendered powerless by giving survivors weapons to completely nullify their powers and make them basic M1 killers.
It's beyond insane.

I honestly think you'd have a heart attack if you played in 2017.

Killers today would probably die instantly if they saw release MoM.
24 -
Oh 100% they would lol.
18 -
I promise killer is not that hard. You'll improve at a much faster rate and see better results by focusing on your own gameplay.
22 -
I really recommend you drop killer for a couple of days and play survivor to see what most killers do to win. It'll help you get better at killer.
12 -
I hated release MoM as killer and still abused the h*ck out of it as a survivor. I'm terrible :/
2 -
I have been playing since 2017
2 -
I play way more survivor
1 -
Trust me, it really isn't that bad.
Maybe your just being matched against people better than you. That's not your fault, of course. That's on the matchmaker for being bad.
14 -
I've never bought Ash, so I never used release MoM. Sure had it used against me lmao
1 -
They would actually combust against release MoM+syringe.
5 -
Jesus, I forgot about old syringes and styptics.

Literally what perks are you referring to because it sounds like your problem is mostly with resilience and prove thyself which have been in the game since the beginning so how is any of this a new thing?
7 -
"I play survivor to relax and don't care for escapes" - some killer main
3 -
I mean thats me. I use stupid perk builds and set my own goal every game.
Im queued up right now, and its time for "Use Plot Twist the second i see Corrupt Intervention with No-Mither".

This is really sound advice.
Playing both sides will definitely make you better in either role. You'll be surprised the little things survs can do to hide or sneak or get behind you. Playing as a surv will help dispell the mystery whenever you ask yourself as a killer "How df they do that?!?"

No computer game should consistently make someone this angry. There's a lot of things to be this angry about, but computer games isn't one of them. Use all this energy for something that actually matters.

Take a break, go play civilization or something.

Dbd is their life, thereβs nothing else to use it on
1 -
This sounds like a reddit killer type take
4 -
Instant pickup into 10 seconds of auto-deadhard for the rescuer & victim and the survivor mains what to say "it isn't that bad and the survivors were just better," what nonsense.

I just think the infuriating part is that as killer you have to do SO much more to actually play well than someone with perks basically playing the game for them. Like if you're playing a niche killer it doesn't matter your mind games when they just have a 3% faster speed boost while injured while having perma walls to any pallet or window. It makes the skill gap non-existant because of perks making no truly equal play ground for dbd because perks always make up for it on both sides.

so this is how people become campers and tunnellers?

Yeah π€£ so funny seeing killers rant some... It's ez to win on killer if you really want to and use all strats available most of the time π.

Keep nerfing survivors and those gens will go faster and faster. It's going to get to the point where survivors will just hide and sneak around doing gens, refuse to take chases, heal, use flashlights, sabo hooks. There will be nothing for survivors to do except generators.

That was a dark age. I didn't experience it first hand but I know some of the horrors through videos and people talking on the forums.
That being said op is only partially wrong. There are a lot of things in the game now that are anything but ideal. And killers are getting the short end of the stick here.
I wouldn't go as far as to say that killer is the worst it's been in the time I've played (that would be either release CoH or DH validation) but it's not the best / easiest it has been in this time either. That would be right after 6.1.0.
It just feels awful to have all these little things adding up. Because it doesn't happen only once or twice a match but so often that you need to expect it at every turn.

Ya know, I keep hearing this beng called "truth" yet can't help seeing "complaints".
While we can't argue about how many ways there are to proc endurance, most those ways are conditional or come with a price (DH, BT, and Off the Record require you to be hooked and unhooked, Soul Guard and buckle up requires you to be unslugged, WGLF requires some aultristic action and then save a slug for them to have endurance, and the lowest cost is the styptic which simply eats your medkit)
Gen speeds have always been goofy. Theres alot of reasons(excuses?) that survivors are bringing more toolboxes. Its been that alot of killers have relied heavily on stacking regression and slowdowns on top of one another to the point where they now have to adapt to being able to quickly and efficiently harass survivors instead of relying on their perks. We can admit some maps make it annoyingly hard and sometimes you'll have to sweat if you want 4k after 4k but nothing huge has changed for the ones who have never relied heavily on slowdown.
Survivors could always vault faster and repair faster while injured (we're pretty sure resilience has been in the game since we started), heck spine chill used to be do all that while LOOKING at the survivors general direction. Through walls. They've only somewhat recently gotten more non exhaustion movement speed effects.
Windows doesn't do **** in deadzones. In addition theres many ways to inflict blindness on survivors, either via perk or add ons. If it really bothers you that much, run em.
Your gona need to define best as everyone has different thoughts on that. Killers have both been buffed and nerfed as the game evolves (slowly but it is) and its not like survivors haven't been getting nerfed either. Theres multiple sides and yours isn't the whole "truth".

The problem is players who make challenges for themselves "why is it so hard to win killer by not camping/tunneling/slugging, playing with both hands, not wearing a blindfold in 2023? I could do this 3 years ago, DBD is such a bad game, I'll quit playing it"

Last night I had a match in badham, I only see Steve and Kate the whole match. Someone disarmed my traps just 20m away from the bush and I could not find them. I only see Bill once when body block for Kate to escape. Even a Gen done 20m away with 2 survivors (I saw their bubble aura by Rancor and cant find either of them). I never see David once.
I wasnt mad, it was really impressive.

Yes, you should try hard to earn a winning. For both sides.
