Why are old fast vaults coming back?

Why are the devs reverting the fast vault changes? Fast Vaults giving you the same distance as medium and slow vaults makes no sense, it's like after a fast vault all momentum is lost and you get teleported to the ground. They weren't even that strong, you just had to get used to it as a killer, since that changed, just like when they changed the basic attack recovery time so the killer could close the distance faster, you just had to get used to the new catch-up timing to understand what loops you could and couldn't make. Wasn't that a bug-fix too? Like why are they reverting a bug-fix? I have a folder full of hits after the animation of the fast vault ended and I already took a step, it feels so clunky and intuitive. An official statement on why these changes were reverted would be good communication.
