Question about Chemical Trap perk

Does this mean, that if a Knight (example) sends a Guard like 20m away to break old pallet with Chemical Trap on it, the Knight standing mile away will still get slowed?! I hope not because that would be nonsense. It shouldn't work if the Killer breaks it far away from the pallet itself. It only makes sence if the Killer is near (like right next to it). I am not saying it's op or something, I am just saying it doesn't make sence at all and it would feel awfull when this would happen.

If Survivors on purpose vaults over pallet with active Dissolution while outside of chase, the killer is near chasing someone else, it will slow them too? Even if the killer is far? That would be very stupid and annoying.

During the PTB the trap just falls off until the duration of the perk expired. I think the killer as to break it themself for the trap to work so perks like Dissolution and dream pallets wouldn't activate. Wesker and Legion can vault trapped pallets safely but if they use their Iri addons that break pallets then they activate it.

It doesn't slow the Knight, because it's considered the guard breaking it, not the Knight himself.

Dissolution doesn't count as the killer breaking the pallet either.

If the killer's power involves hitting the pallet themselves to break it, Chemical Trap will slow them, i.e. Hillbilly, Leatherface, Demogorgon, Blight, Nemesis, Wesker.

Here's a video of someone experimenting with all the killer powers and relevant perks in the PTB: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGG4d5wktMk
