Juking in the game is currently just a lag compensation and poor auto aim exploit.
I'm pretty sure this is an old conversation but I couldn't find any recent threads concerning it. I play survivor and killer, both on console. Right now, survivors who have a low (or variable) ping are able to run around the killer while hugging their body even faster than a console killer at 80% camera sensitivity can turn. There are ways that killers can compensate and still get a hit, including having better internet themselves, walking backwards before turning and swinging, turning aim sensitivity as high as can possibly be tolerated(making ranged powers even more difficult on console than they already are) or using non-M1 killers (less of an option for console players). Even if a killer's camera tracks a survivor perfectly, hits will often not connect because auto-aim will throw the attack into an incorrect direction, or because the survivor actually ended the juke a moment ago and the killer is seeing them still nearby only because of lag compensation error. I've seen videos claiming that spinning character and camera does not change turning or movement speed, but these videos all timed the spins and movements from the survivor's perspective or on custom games. Adding ping causes the apparent movement and turn speed from the perspective of the killer to increase dramatically.
Like I said, I get that these jukes have known counters, but it's some of the worst gameplay to learn and learn to counter, and I have seen friends give up on the game because they couldn't learn to juke or couldn't learn to counter it. It's especially bad for new players for whom playing killer can be very intimidating. (The game needs more people wanting to play killer if we want better survivor ques in the evenings and on weekends)
I wasn't playing when the animations were changed a while back, but my understanding is that basically all forms of juking were impossible for a while and then the animations were stepped back a bit so jukes were possible again, but different and not quite as effective. I wouldn't want to see all jukes go away. Anything that's basically a 50/50 guess on the killer part is good gameplay(eg. run towards vault but turn away at last second, killer lunges at vault). The problem with the jukes that let a survivor run around a killer is that a killer can read the movement perfectly, react appropriately, and still miss because of failure of gameplay mechanics.
TLDR:
There are enough interesting ways to avoid a killer and prolong a chase that the game does not benefit in any meaningful way from people spinning in circles trying to be unhittable rather than learning how to actually play the game as intended.
