Update on Engagement Efforts - Community Question Threads
Heyo everyone!
I made an intro post earlier this week explaining who I am and what my intentions will be on the forum. If you missed it, feel free to check it out here.
I briefly mentioned engagement efforts. We will be starting our efforts with Community Question threads.
I wanted to bring the idea of these questions to the community before posting the first one next Monday. These threads will be posted bi-weekly for now. And depending on how they are received, their frequency will be adjusted.
The threads will always be focused on Dead by Daylight and the community. They will not be brainstorming sessions for upcoming content or AMAs for the Dev team. These are meant to bring the community closer and to help you all understand the shared passion for DbD and the DbD Community a little better. As well as to share gameplay strategies, builds, screenshots, outfit choices, etc.
We will be starting with some more generic questions about your character preferences, custom builds you have created and other gameplay related questions. I do have a list of ideas for future threads that I will keep to myself until they are posted.
However, I would love to hear your suggestions for thread ideas! Please keep the questions related to the Dead by Daylight Community as best you can. There is no guarantee that your ideas will be used. Though I would love to get an understanding of your expectations for this type of engagement effort.
All and any input and feedback is appreciated!
Thank you!
~The JollyStrangler
P.S - For those of you who missed it, I have added most of the missing Survivors and Killers as well as the Feathers of Pride avatars earlier this week! Today, I added another animal friend you are all very aware of! Enjoy!

This sounds like a nice idea ! I'm afraid I don't have any suggestion coming to mind, but I always love when people share fun, niche or just plain weird builds and playstyles, so that's quite exciting (and people showing off their characters' drip sounds hilarious as well).

Might be a good idea to pin those posts.

Echoing that posts about builds and playstyles are often pretty fun!
Any generally creative endeavour is a good starting point, too. Custom designs for characters and perks and such, not to pitch them actually making it into the game but just for the sake of enjoying creativity.
"Your favourite [x]" is also a good post archetype imo. Favourite realm, favourite perk icon, favourite character, etc.

Joke questions are also a good way, especially if being creative.
Things like:
What's the most obscure theme for a cosmetic collection you can think of?
Which killer would be a great addition to a fighting game?
Silly questions like those can also be engaging and bring out a humourous side.
I admire the fact you're promoting a better way of engaging people to come together on here. I wish you well with it.

Love this! I definitely agree with starting off with your character preferences. What does your character in the game mean to you? Why were u gravitated to your favorite character within Dead By Daylight? A great start and would love to hear everyones story and reason for choosing their favorites. It keeps us engaged with each other.
One suggestion i would like is a thread about map preferences. Which map would you live in? Itd make funny engagements. 😁

Obviously the most important question that should be asked is what animal avatar should be added to the forum next.
May I humbly suggest the most ferocious predator known to man?

I don't know if this would be redundant, but maybe we could ask who the community's comfort pick killer is? Who people feel like playing if you just want to relax or don't know who else to play.

-What are your favorite builds (killer)?
-Favorite builds (survivor)?
-what the community thinks about a specific killer/perk/survivor whatever. it could be a good way to gather public opinion.
