I love Oni too. I wish it was easier to flick with him on a controller. It may seem like a small thing but it makes a large difference to how he feels to play to me.
I sometimes look at all the Oni cosmetics in-store I'd like to buy, thinking how great it would be to be a terrifying Oni that could 180 tech on-demand and play those tight loops at strong tiles.

The pain isn't worth it.

If you did you'd become an Oni god. Practice makes perfect.

Now's probably the best time to try and ascend to Oni Godhood. Considering more people intentionally playing injured. >:)

He's definitely a high-skill killer. The problem I have with him is similar to the one I have with Billy on console. Bad sensitivity on console, Painfully slow turning, and probably a tier or two down from the PC version. Compared to the other killers I play, he doesn't really have much more to offer, but I have always loved his design so it suuuuuucks to have to pass on him over every time.

If you want to follow me on my OnlyOni Trials then check out my Twitch or YT. It'll be a rollercoaster of getting my ass handed to me, Punishing MFT, and maybe getting some wins in between.

Too painful only him on console as much I like him. If you would been pc then yes with the flicks and 180s.

Yeah, I feel ya. The flicks make such a difference and having that taken away handicaps his peak performance. I think he'll still be fun but I'm working twice as hard for the same, if not less payoff.

Yeah he definetely is fun but good survivors can deny your power very long and then you really need that peak perfomance.

Yes
Yes, but mainly to role play. Just pretend it’s a scary movie where some survivors escape sometimes. Play with the intent to scare the players and make them nervous!

I play on the Xbox One and although he can be a tricky one to get used to, especially with the flicks, once you do adjust he is a really great killer to play. My favourite killer in the game currently.

Any tips you'd share? I've watched a few of Otz guides he put out on him but I'd like to hear from a Coney (Console Oni).

Just practice a lot and find your own balance, but as for a few tips:
1. Crank the sensitivity up to max to make flicks better.
2. You can turn a flick at 90 degree, from what I have estimated. Try round the corner flicks first.
3. Injure over down where possible. Get blood orbs absolutely everywhere and especially when you do down someone, unless you know where another survivor is exactly, pick them up and hook. Save up the power so you can get back into demon mode quicker.
However, as mentioned before, the best way to learn is practice and try as many flicks and tricks as possible. It increases your confidence and will make you so much better.

Really I just want to get good with flicks. I play on max sensitivity by default for the longest, and trying to git gud at 90s is a PiTA. You def gotta humble yourself and accept some small defeats before walking the path of a true demon.

dont just focus on his power go for his adept until you get it

Oni is fun for sure, but I can't imagine playing only one killer for an entire month would be particularly fun.

Probably not. Heck, I can barely play only 1 game for a month. I'm just in the practice makes progress mindset

I am an oni main and trust me he is so fun, but learning flicks on PC took me months and you can't instantly try to learn flicks if you aren't used to his power. So sure if you want to get used to his power do it. Besides, you are on console so the good side of it is for that month you don't need to worry about flicks but surely enough if you like oni you will eventually get into the learning flicks phase. Besides oni has a phase where you hate his power so much and you don't like playing him but you'll get used to it at least that was how it was for me with the hating phase and kinda the same with my sister who doesn't main oni but tried him out for a while and that was only for a few days. You will see a severe lack on skill with console and if you do try him be sure to use you sensitivity at the highest as you can since it helps navigating with blood fury and *potential* flicks
I want to give you one tip as I could go on for hours but a really good build I use (I'm P32) is No Where To Hide, Discordance, Shadowborn and Lethal pursuer. As you can notice no gen regression but maybe switch Discordance for pain res if you trouble in that or just don't use Shadowborn it's like an addiction if you start off not using it trust me its for the better
