How do you hit Survivors while Undetectable?

So I'm doing old Tome Challenges and I need to know what to do. I play Michael Myers and he is supposedly Undetectable in Tier I.

However, as soon as a chase with a Survivor begins, the Halloween music begins playing and they know I'm there, therefore I am no longer Undetectable, correct?

    You are Undetectable as long as the icon status is still visible on the right side of your screen, no matter if you're in a chase or not.
