Favorite Horror aspects/themes in the game?
What are some of your favorite horror aspects about Dead by Daylight?
I think most of us can agree that Michael Myers is extremely fun to play against from a horror POV.
Personally for me, I will never forget when I first loaded into Garden of Joy. Seeing everything suspended in mid-air with the sky being that weird bizarre purplish red color gave me such an uncanny dreamlike feeling. It was so bizarre and creepy.
Eyrie of crows is so creepy too. The way the border of the map has all those people frozen in statue form gives the environment a feeling of hopelessness. I like how the main building library feels too. It feels like a timeless place where you stumbled into a twilight zone kind of situation.
Toba Landing is great too. The colors make me feel a theme of mania and dread. Plus, all the flora looks so dangerous and hostile. There’s even astronauts stuck inside some of the walls!
I can go on and on… What are some of your favorite horror aspects of the game? Be it music, Killers, aesthetics, maps, etc.

Yeah you’re right! Those iconic scenes from movies fit the mood so perfectly.
And I never even considered the aspect of the Survivor’s clothes being ripped/bloody implying their struggles throughout this nightmare they find themselves in. I get so used to the game sometimes that I forget that they are actually being abused by the Killer! Thanks for pointing these things out, they definitely enhance the scary feeling that I love so much about this game.
Also, I wouldn’t forgive myself if I didn’t mention the sky on Nostromo Wreckage. That huge Saturn-like planet with web around it?!… The dark blue sky juxtaposed by the off white/gray of the level itself makes me feel lost in space.
I agree with you on Dredge, what he brings to the game horror-wise is so perfect.
