Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Starstruck On Deathslinger Is Really Decent... I Never See People Use It Though...

I know that before the recent updates, Nurse was one of the few Killer that can make use of Starstruck, but Starstruck on Slinger can be insanely strong considering how Slinger was nerfed (or, well, in this case buffed I guess) to have a 32-meter Terror Radius.

Deathslinger also has a really decent (and fun) chase power to use. Their power also counts as a Basic Attack for those unaware, meaning that Deathslinger can actually use the Exposed status effect to get downs on Survivors that are Healthy.

Im sure you can connect the dots here. Starstruck applies the Exposed status effect to any close by and within a large radius, Deathslinger can end chases quickly, it can lead to rough times for Survivors.

With other perks like Rapid Brutality, Forced Hesitation, and Save The Best For Last, you can easily snowball into a win and become almost impossible (for your average player) to deal with in chase. Starstruck just fits right into these perks without even needing extra perks to get value (e.g. Agitation isnt needed).

From my own experience, I got considerable value from Starstruck and probably boosted my MMR significantly since a decent chunk of the teams I faced ended up giving up because it was too much for them to handle.

Well you can outrun him usualy, put stuff behind you and you are good to go.

Also you don't see it on him, because he is bit rare killer to even verse.

I'd call that a pretty smart usage of the perk for Slingers unique trait of being able to reel in for a basic attack.

The big benefit is the threat more than the conversion. You push people away from the unhook and cause the survivor not caught in the exposure to be the best candidate to unhook, which means they need to come off gens.

You have the same power as the iri add-on without the need to worry about distance... seems pretty noice 😘👌

Starstruck doubles as a way to control the map. Survivors will want to avoid being exposed by it, many of which will just go Generators across the map. If you stay on a certain side of the map it can make the Generators harder to complete... not necessarily 3-genning, but just keeping a boundary if that makes sense, which is a strength Slinger already plays into based on their power and restrictions caused by movement speed.

Played against a Death Slinger using Ultimate Weapon yesterday. That was a complete pain as he was extremely good and very difficult to shake off and could find you no problem at all.
