Urgent! Red ping in EVERY lobby.
My internet is fine, i have 200mbps, and its running smoothly. In no other game am i experiencing any sort of lag aside from the usual distance related latency.
But Dead By Daylight? God forbid if im allowed to play the game.
I have red ping in EVERY SINGLE LOBBY i join.
Im not downloading anything either, and this issue has existed for over a month now, im just tired.
What the hell is going on? Am i in the wrong server? I feel like im playing with Americans from eastern EU.
Please help, i literally dont have enough brain cells for this anymore.

I've been having this for the past hours too. Kept checking if something is wrong with my internet but no... just DbD. Also before this I wasn't able to find matches. It's so weird.

Same issue here! This happened to me in the first week of September on and off, but seemed to resolve itself. However, since yesterday evening, it's been happening again.
I don't have great internet, so I thought it might just be me. But I've checked my connection and played other online games and theres no issues. It's exclusively happening with DbD. Very odd.

Im both sad and very happy to hear im not alone. Perhaps this is enough for some resolution.

I suspect you're being connected to a more distant Server when your closest one runs out of resources or you're just being sent to the wrong server every time (like BHVR thinks Western Australia is in Asia), either way it's something BHVR has to acknowlege and fix.

Yeah. I'm getting people from USA even though it's the opposite side of the planet. I guess 100% bloodpoint bonus on killer doesn't help too much and the biggest player region requires backfilling at all costs.

I have the issue where the servers will randomly throw me to another continent across an ocean all the time, but 9/21 was bad. The game even lagged on loadup, when it runs through the checklist for your account and such. Took forever to get the main menu screen. Weird rubberbanding in trials, when everything seemed fine moments before and after.
Even had one survivor lose their mind at me in EGC while playing killer, apparently accusing me of hacking to cause the lag.
Angry and stupid is no way to live.

I have the same issue. Red and yellow ping all the time. In EU servers. My internet is fine. Am i being thrown to NA servers?

This can happen. I guess when EU-Servers run out of capacity you will be connected to a different Server. The "funny" thing is, if you actually play the game, you will see that everyone else also has high Ping, so it is a full EU-Lobby on a NA-Server.

I'm sure everyone is aware but you can get dodgy connections just from using WiFi, use physical connections such as ethernet or powerline if you are looking for a better connection that is within your control

I think this is what was exactly happening! But it wasn't making sense because there were a lot of players playing the game and I'm closer to Europe/Asia/Middle East even Russia! but the game was sending me to US servers or something haha. Enjoyed my free trip to US!🏝️

Might be backfilling as well. Like, someone in NA creates a lobby full of NA players, then survivors leave, getting backfilled by EU players, then killer leaves, replaces by EU killer - this is possible because backfilling prioritizes speed of matchmaking over quality for some reason.
I don't really believe that it's the server capacity when DbD playerbase goes down with each day.

I don't think this is what's happening at the moment. It's very unlikely that the whole EU-centric playerbase dropped dead all of a sudden since yesterday. It's very evident whenever I join a lobby that I don't belong to that region. I can't seem to get a single lobby where my ping is normal. It's borderline unplayable.

Guys, to clarify, i am from Eastern EU (Istanbul, Turkey to be specific) and im connected with an ethernet cable, not WiFi.
And this issue has been super painful, so please share your own experiences in the forums as well so that it may be fixed. Good luck!
