Survivors with high Prestige and low hours, what's your secret?

I'm seeing increasing numbers of survivors with really high prestige numbers in my lobbies, but when I check their hours (when I can, I can only check some console players), they often have very few hours, sometimes less than me. It's not that they only level that one Survivor, since they run the full gamut of perks. Even having played through the anniversary event I don't have any Killer or Survivor above Prestige 6 but these guys are hitting 80, 90 and even 100 Prestige levels with less than 300 hours. How do you do it?

I think that it’s possible to bypass the system and cheat to a higher prestige level with third party softwares. Not saying these people are doing that but getting a character to P80 or higher with only 300 hours doesn’t seem like it’s logical.

Honestly I'd love to know too.

I hate to sound cynical, but I suspect subtle-cheating has something to do with it. I played against a P90 earlier who had ~200 hours in-game. It's definitely easier to earn Bloodpoints now but, I don't know, it seems suspicious to me.

While I do have high prestige and high hours over the past 6yrs, I know players were greatly boosting their prestige levels during Lunar New Year.

At one point during that event there was a 2x Blood Points stacker added in for over a week. Every match was 5, 107% offerings. Playing Killer was like hitting the lottery every match! Depending on how much you played in that month, P100’ing multiple characters and getting others up into the 60’s 70’s 80’s seemed effortless.

That absolutely enabled players with less hours in the game to level up their characters, while still showing their “DBD age” when playing w or against them.

    Just one example.

The anniversary and then summer event that just happened. You got a ton of bloodpoints in a very short period of time. It's easy to see how less experienced players would have high prestige characters if they played during those events. The anniversary in particular was a 5x bonus every game. It doesn't take that long to get a single character to P100 anyway if that's all you play.

If you have 15 characters P6 you've spent as many BPs as someone who spent it all on one P100 character. There's probably a few cheaters in there, but the majority of the time it's just people who spend their BPs on only one character, which is easy to do for survivors because they're just different skins. Plus we just had the anniversary and stuff, so 300h doesn't seem like a stretch to me (even less so if they usually use BP offerings or play with friends who do)

Had a p100 claudette who couldnt for the life of her hold a chase. Like, avoiding pallets kind of deal.

unable to confirm playtime due to a private steam profile, but the suspicions were strong.

Not sure what platform you are talking about, but the two Playstation platforms count hours separately but use the same account. Someone could have a few thousand hours on PS4 then switch to PS5 and have essentially 0 hours with all the perks and prestige from their PS4 time.
