My game lag has been terrible! Xbox x

For the last week and a half I've gotten horrible game lag playing Killer. I can't keep up on chases, I have to leave loops because I can't make counter moves. Hooking takes forever so if someone has Boilover I have to basically drop them or slug them (sorry if that's you), because getting to a hook is ridiculous tough.

I have cleaned the cache, paused all devices on my router and made my Xbox priority, changed from WiFi to Ethernet cable, restarted my router over and over, restarted my Xbox over and over, unplugged my Xbox many times, did different ports and always make sure my NAT is open.

I know it's a long shot but has anyone else dealt with this and found a solution? I just want to play at the same speed as survivors so I can enjoy playing too.

    Same here! Exactly for a week and a half or almost two weeks now game keeps pushing me into lobbies with insanely high-ping. I already made a bug report about it but they said "it's a technical problem on my side" which it definitely isn't according to all the reputable internet connection tests I did. I'm going to quote my experience here:

    "I'm closer to EU servers and ever since I switched from the disastrous PTB to LIVE, matchmaking has been awful. It keeps pushing me into lobbies with 400ms~ until I lobbyshop once or twice and find one where I get the normal ping I always used to get when playing DbD which is 60ms~ and once I find that lobby, my in-game ping stays consistent and stable without any problems. Which means my ping isn't unstable according to DbD and I don't keep switching between 400ms~ and 60ms~ which is a huge gap!

    No, this isn't a technical issue like how bug reports section gaslit me into thinking. I have no problems whatsoever with my internet and a stable connection. After switching from PTB to LIVE I also had an issue where matchmaking wouldn't find me any lobbies no matter how long I've waited and after that was resolved this started happening. It's very unlikely that EU servers are struggling to find lobbies suitable for me either."

    This sounds horrible. Hopefully someone can help you.

    Yesterday I was downloading some games off game pass, my son was playing TCM on his Xbox, my wife was playing Fortnite on hers, and my daughter was playing Fortnite on switch and I had no issues. Oh plus all our phones were connected to our wifi.

    You should be great running direct unless you had some local internet provider issues. Bad weather maybe?

    Got a PS5 a couple of weeks ago and my games have been very laggy on occasions. Survivors are teleporting all over the place. Never had a single issue on PS4 apart from the Nemesis chapter. All other online games I play are fine, just DBD.
