Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

It's spooky season! Wanna scare people with Dredge. Any advice?

Title.

Any advice, or builds? What's the scariest way to play him? I don't care about getting a 4k. I just want to give the survivors a scary and hard time.

    I would pick something like.

Addons: Field recorder and Lavalier Microphone.

    Perks stealth + info.

Sloopy + Nurses calling to see them and jump scare while interrupting a heal.

Tinkerer/Trail of torment and jump to a close locker, if they dont hear your TR may think locker noise its because of field recorer.

Hex: Face the darkness to add a little random extra stress.

    Hope you like it.

While outside of Nightfall try to get as many Survivors injured as possible, the more Survivors injured the faster it builds

    .25c/s 0 injured

    0.75c/s 1 injured

    1.5/s 2 injured

    2.25/s 3 injured

    3c/s 4 injured

Being in the state of inside a locker also increases your point gain by 6c/s. Meaning if all 4 Survivors are injured and youre teleporting, youre charging Nightfall at 9c/s. Nightfall requires 300 charges to activate.

There are also a few things that give immediate charges. Basic Attacks and Hooking give 20, and teleporting to the Remnant give 10.

That being said its best to try to keep Nightfall up as much as possible, doing anything to gain points will help build towards it. Say youre in chase and you dont see yourself using your teleport for a bit, you can just activate it to TP to the remnant real quick to gain some charges. If Nightfall is about to end and youre about to hit/hook a Survivor, wait for it to end so you can get more charges towards the next Nightfall

Another thing is if you have a Survivor who's working on a gen with lockers on either side. Teleport to one, wait, then teleport to the other. Of course this one is more situational, but they can run into you.

As for add ons I recommend anything that increases Nightfall charges, Haddies Calender, or Ottomarian Writing.

His purple add ons are very gimmicky but fun, Lavalier Microphone is probably your best option as well as Field Recorder if you want maximum spookiness

    Hope this helps :)

Skull + hex face the darkness is super scary in nightfall. Plaything is also awesome with this.

Then send yourself to lerry's or midwich.

Maybe some spooky skin on top.

    Your set to scare them.

My favorite way to scare survivors as dredge is simply not coming out of a nearby locker that they didn't lock.

    Teleport to locker near gen

watch survivor react by running a short distance away

They come back to gen because they think you've moved onto another locker

They lock the locker now that you've drawn their attention to it

You get a super jump scare grab

This should never happen against people with eyes, because when dredge remains in a locker for some time the locker gets some VERY visible particles that show dredge is inside.

I've been playing a goofy build of Darkness Revealed and Ultimate Weapon. Open a locker, use the aura to find another survivor, then teleport over and pop out to make them scream immediately like a super jumpscare.

You could use a Blindness-focused build on him and throw in pentimento + plaything. I really like this build when doing a Scary Dredge.

Another idea from a twisted mind... it's a longshot and requires a bit more effort setting up for varying results, but it's essentially a smoke screen tactic. Run Dark Devotion alongside Ultimate Weapon. The other 2 slots can be whatever you want to choose. I'll just use Corrupt and Sloppy for example. Use Field Recorder and Worrystone or stack on either nightfall increase add-ons. Beat up on the obsession and use them as an info-collecting puppet decoy while you teleport to a nearby locker and get the drop from behind em... I would think this would be even 100x more terrifying during nightfall.

There's a brown add-on that allows you to see barred lockers in yellow. This can be used to figure out where survivors are early, and can even, if you're lucky, result in an early grab if you can predict which locker a survivor might bar next.

Here's the build I'm going to use when the Halloween event starts. Designed for maximum spooks! ☠️ 👻 🎃

Perks: Game Afoot, Rancor, Remember Me, No Way Out

    Add-ons: Field Recorder, Boat Key

    Strategy:

    1. The key to this build is setting up a win condition during the end-game. You can completely ignore gens and focus on building up stacks of RM and NWO. Just remember to keep tabs on the survivors you've roughly chased the longest.
    2. Once the final gen is completed, all locked lockers will be unlocked, nightfall will begin, and if you've managed to max out your perk stacks survivors won't be able to leave through the gates for a whopping 104 seconds! Which gives you plenty of time to hunt down and kill the obsession.
    3. After killing your obsession, look for the survivor with the 2nd highest chase time. After hitting them they will turn into your obsession thanks to Game Afoot and you'll be able to mori them after you down them!
    4. Repeat step 3 until all survivors are dead.

There's nothing that scares the pants off survivors like blocking off the gates for almost 2 minutes, submerging them in darkness, and hunting for them while they know that they can are outright dead if you find them!
