Dwight's Deep Rift Recolor

Now I don't have a problem with deep rift recolors being blue(my favorite color). But......what the heck is this? Why is Dwight's pants for both are literally the same? Only the shoes are slighlty different colors and even that's hard to tell. Let's do a little better. Love the outfit tho.

My problem is with every rift having blue recolors. Like come on, other colors exist too smh... What used to be really cool is now getting boring and annoying. Imagine crimson red recolors one rift 🤩

I honeslty believe they will most likely not change the deep rift color because lore wise, its too important for it be anything else besides blue. The auris, the void, the blue ink that was engraved into vittorio. All of these cant just be changed unless something major occurs in the lore for all of these to change.

Okay, I understand that lorewise. But otherwise, think about it... the game is gonna have an overabundance of blue recolors - to the point where it's annoying to see it everywhere. And on the other side, no cool recolors with other colors.

The game is called "dead by daylight", and yet they've ignored this and made some daytime maps. Hopefully they'll reconsider bending the lore implications of only blue recolors too.

I mean, one rather simple other colorscheme would be an earth-colors scheme which takes the color-vibes from the observer's room / the archive. Especially if the lore at some point goes a little bit deeper into the role of the observer and that side of things.

Yeah, but what I'm trying to say is, from the standpoint of cosmetics and their variety, having just blue each and every rift is going to be extremely boooooring and repetitive. We need recolors with other colors, and whatever justification lore-wise they might have to come up with, they should do it.

They should be quite aware by now, that variety in cosmetics is very welcome and sells. And I'm not even talking here about the variety among different characters, I'm talking about variety that is shown even within the wardrobe of any single character:

    • halloween blighted outfit
    • halloween costume outfit (e.g. werewolf, scarecrow)
    • gala dress code
    • alice in wonderland
    • valentine's day
    • etc.

I understand what you mean but I don't think I want to make the blue jeans even more blue.

I definitely agree with the sentiment that not every Deep Rift should be blue.

The jeans dont have to be blue. There are some deep rift skins that become black with maybe some blue colors like gabriel's deep rift pants. I honestly thought Dwight's deep rift pants was going to be black.

Yes, I'm in agreement. - Just thinking about how the Rift cosmetics, and especially the deep rift stuff, should be closely connected to the theme of The Fog and what lies there. I was just trying to think about what other color palettes are present in The Fog and thought about the archives-room. A very grey-black color palette would probably also work when it's about the fog itself. I don't mind blue energy-elements throughout, since it does seem that the "energy color" in the lore seems to be that bright blue.
