Community is Real Power
Sometimes people are saying, "stop complaining about x thing, never gonna change" but yet we have good examples which community made devs change things. I am not talking about balance things btw, mostly price - general stuff of DbD.
Community made them add Yun-Jin's winter costume to DbD, even she was not part of winner collection.
Community made them focus more on unpopular characters like Haddie, Elodie etc.
Community made them stop add costumes to chapters. This one was funny tho. When we complained about this, some people just told us " Stop complainig and buy them in game store instead of Steam". These people lol... But thankfully devs saw our concerns and changed this now.
And now, finally community made Stranger Things possible again. There is no company can ignore that much depands. Even Netflix, yeah.

I find it kind of funny to claim a character to be unpopular and then say it was possible because the community wanted it, which makes those characters popular again xD
As for the alien chapter... So can you buy it now without the cosmetics same with Nic Cage or only in the future? Because if those two stay then I wouldn't count that as a success...

Me as Nancy putting boons everywhere :)

For first one, these survivors are still unpopular for sure. I don't remember the day i don't see Meg, Kate, Claud, Feng etc. But i can play for weeks and maybe get one Haddie. But this does not mean nobody is playing her and she deserves some attention as well. That's what community asked and BHVR changed that.
For other part, sadly Nic Cage and Alien still selling with bundles but they won't add costume in future chapters.

I mean everyone has Meg or Claud and I don't really see much of a reason to play any survivor as a main, because they are only skins anyway and all play the same... You could argue about how loud they scream or how stealthy they are, but besides that... I don't really care which survivor it is. From my perspective it doesn't matter whether or not a skin gets more skins...
I would consider that one a failure then, because they still don't offer them without skins... As for the in the future they won't... OK we don't know if they intended to anyway, unless no backlash, so as long as the ones that still have cosmetics in the pack I don't agree on this being a win.

Now the community just needs to direct the requests regarding cross progression to the right ears: Microsoft and Sony (presumably) - as BHVR already stated it’s out of their hands.
edit: also, can we start to ask the devs/BHVR respectfully for more controller settings in-game especially for console. And maybe even M&K for console.

I think they said in Void Event stream, they saw people disliked bundle idea. I am not against bundles btw, a lot games does that. But non of the games are forcing you to buy bundle. They are adding normal dlc and bundle for people who want to buy more.

Community can make a big difference, especially when it works together.
I feel "Stranger Things" was a collective success, not a community success. BHVR had always been trying to reaquire the license and it seems like their hard work paid off. We shouldn't be taking all the credit for that - that was a lot down to BHVR putting the work in. The community simply voiced they wanted it back and acted as a reminder.

Not saying you're wrong, however it does seem like the community did play a big role in it's return according to the Stranger Things Writers account.

I'm not attempting to dispute what you've listed because it's all true. The problem is all of the bad changes we keep getting. Specifically pertaining to the never ending cycle of buff this, nerf that, rework this, killswitch that. They have made so many of those changes that each new release results in something else being broken. I wish they'd cool it with the chapter releases and focus on consistent code and gathering data to decide perk reworks rather than doing what the "fog whisperers" tell them to do.

I may have understated the community involvement. Yet, as you implied, this wasn't just something the community did alone and BHVR deserve credit for this also. No doubt there was some serious work going on in the background.

You really shouldn't be posting things like this without any knowledge of what actually happened to facilitate its return.
My take is it had more to do with $$$ than anything else.
ST also returned to Fortnite, does that mean everyone should sing praises of Epic for it?

I feel it's perfectly fine for me to post what I did. A collective implies the community, the business and everything else. It's false to suggest one could do it without the other, so I stand by it (with the exception that the community did more than I implied).
Also, I said "I feel", implying it's my thought process and not absolute fact. I don't see the problem in expressing an opinion. This is what forums are for.

Then I would like to borrow those "powers of the community" for a little while.
I never get what I would like to see :(
