Please, keep the discussions about the new chapter civil

At this point I think you have all noticed it at least once. Whenever there is a new licensed chapter coming out, the toxicity on certain platforms (Reddit, Twitter, TikTok, these forums, etc.) spikes. Obviously it is fine to voice your opinions and concerns, but by god... is it so hard to do so without straight up insulting people or using straight up untrue facts?

For instance: Yes, it is fine to like FNAF and wanting it in DBD, but straight up insulting the devs or fans of the Child's Play franchise (or those that are straight up happy to get any kind of new content like me) is not going to make it any more likely for FNAF to be added and in fact even decreases the chances.

At the same time, making fun of FNAF fans, laughing at them and trolling them for the license not to be added to DBD is also not any better. It makes one look even more childish.

And no, playing two custom games against bots is not enough to tell with a high accuracy whether or not a killer or perk is overpowered, underpowered or balanced.

We are human beings with different opinions and we don't have to agree on them, but saying that one side is "wrong" about an opinion is just plain foolish. Imagine needing to balance the game and all you get is "please don't listen to (insert role here) mains, killer is (unbalanced/balanced)". Pretty sure that these kinds of arguments are not helpful to anyone.

Voice your opinions, but do so in a civil manner with thought out arguments. That way, BHVR will get the most information and see where the majority lies and can act based on those arguments and make the game as balanced and as fun for everyone as possible.

Thank you!

"Everyone" is putting it a little bit too nicely. There are a good amount if posts out there that went bananas the moment they saw that Chucky has a mega lunge with an ability that makes him undetectable and instantly called for nerfs, even though they haven't playtested the new chapter at all and those posts are currently turning into a hellfire of straight up insulting people over opinions.

Sure, the majority loves the Chapter, but there are still many posts out there that are straight up just made in bad faith towards people of varying opinions and are not putting the DBD community or the game in any good light.
