Opinion about Object of Obsession?
Previous OoO was the perk that was almost like wallhack, while current version seems meh to me. How do you think about this perk?

Like you said, it's meh perk. But i will take meh perk instead old op perk. But i won't be against some buffs tho.

Still the only thing in the game that GENUINELY gets under our skin. We HATE that perk before and now. Irrational it may be, but we'd trade old DH and DS to have it and it's concept deleted forever.

Currently Object is part of my main build, I use it to call aura perks to my friends and keep track of the killers movement and it makes it a lot harder for killers to get the drop on me. Its great for killers that run hard to avoid aura add-ons like, Wraith's "All Seeing Blood", "Scratched Mirror" Myers, Pig's "Amanda's Letter", Clown's "Cigar Box" and "Tattoo's Middle Finger", and Blight's "Compound Twenty-One" just to name a few because the list is very long. Even if you're not the obsession, as long as the killer can see your aura you can see theirs, and this makes it really hard for them to sneak up on you or mind game you. The biggest downside is as the obsession. you can't hide at all, even when you really need to, and if a killer is looking to tunnel someone out of the match you have a giant neon sign that flashes every 30s that may as well say "Come and get me."
If you're feeling bold and don't mind getting chased often it's worth the perk slot. And sometimes you get some really silly reactions from killers when they realize you have it.

The perk deserved fat nerf.
Obsession only aura reading (every 30 seconds) should get tweaked so that player who isn't obsession can get value from it.
Also it should deactivate when someone dies or gets sacrificed because it is hindrance in 3~1v1 situation.

It’s a fun perk to use! This one time I went against a Huntress with full aura reading build and it was like really fun to see her almost the whole game. And it changes up my build cuz running the same boring perks can get stale yk

i really wish you could look away and not have the perk show your aura just like how the old version worked because now it might sabotage you more than it helps you.
also the aura reading shouldn't only be for the obsession and could maybe be a sec or two longer or make it give +2 sec of aura reading like lethal. do that and the perk would honestly be pretty decent.

I used it for the tome challenge where you need to reveal the killer aura for X seconds, it was actually pretty fun.

One more thing I wanna add about this perk
this perk is also the definitive meaning of “not because it has a high pickrate means that it’s busted or overpowered”
this perk has always had low pick rates before and after its rework and it was beyond busted in its old form in comparison to perks like MFT,DH or anything from the survivor meta that was considered OP

I think that Spine Chill should be buffed to also apply its effects whenever your aura is revealed, as well as LoS. That makes that perk less trash, and by proxy...
You'd actually have some synergy for OoO for a meme build at least.

I keep forgetting about this perk tbh. Honestly is it wrong for me to want this perk to stay in the trash for eternity after all the headaches it caused in the past?

I think it’s in a good spot now.
Previous version 100% needed to go and I think the current version is a good compromise. It still gives you info on the killer fairly often but it can no longer be used basically whenever you want.
Though maybe it should be disabled in 1v1, since at that point it really only gets you killed.

it is not a good perk almost like no mither. there are times you need to remain hidden just like there are times you need to be healthy. but i run it if i have one of the get chased dailies or if i want to call out killers' perks to my duo who is a newer player (i can't stomach using distortion).

It can be decent in chase for mingaming killers as since it is a very uncommon perk most killers don't realize you their aura too. I use it when I want an extra challenge. I think it could use a bit of a buff though.

It's meh, but in my opinion I still think it can be really strong. Sure, it is not the same as before but it is still a lot of useful information for you and your team! Every 30 seconds you see killer, if killer has aura reading you know, and all this can be relayed to teams in comms. Plus now it helps with actions if you see the killer's aura! Overall I think it is better than people say it is.

I used it a handful of times trying to like it enough to place it in my main lineup, but no such luck. I didn't mind it either, but every day I'm reminded those days certainly weren't for everyone.

I actually bought it in the Shrine a few months ago, thinking that I would make some niche build around it, but I honestly can't seem to find a good way to make it work.
If I avoid being the obsession, I'm missing out, but if I'm the obsession, guess who the Nurse will tunnel when she loads into the match?
