Why are map achievements not given if killer D/C’s?
Legit had a match when I completed the objective of the achievement, completed 4 of the 5 gens with the 5th at 99% and the killer dcs cause he lost.
Why does the killers dc not count as a survivor escape?

I don't know about achievements but it counts as an escape for tome challenges.
Just today I was doing an early challenge where you have to escape with 0 totems left. The killer dc'd as soon as the last gen popped (luckily all the totems were cleansed) and the challenge registered as complete.

Probably the same reason why a surv DCing denies a killer adepts and such. I think both scenarios need addressing.

For the survivor achievements and some tome entries it requires you to escape. The triggers for those are going out through the exit gates or hatch. If those weren't used there's nothing to grant the credit.
For killer achievements that require 4k, survivors DCing used to prevent those as if there's no survivor there's nothing to hook/kill. Now bots can stand in and still grant the 4k, though it can get buggy.
