Potentially unpopular opinion? I am over Community Choice Events
Am I the only one who really doesn't like the increased map odds from these events?
Like the whole point of adding map repeat prevention was because people didn’t enjoy playing on the same maps over and over, but then the Community Choice Event comes around and it's just the same maps for a whole week.
It's so tedious. I always end up barely playing during these events because of it.
Went to play some Hillbilly and got The Game, Hawkins, and then The Game again. Then I switched to Ghostface and got Ormond twice in a row.
Surely I can't be the only one who finds this annoying?

Nah i love it. Because it always make me to get my fav maps. Sometimes i am getting maps i dislike too but it's fine.

I mean Midwich and Dead Dawg are two of my favourite maps but even then I find it annoying to see them again and again.
Variety is what keeps the game interesting for me.

Always sad when one of the most balanced map in the game is not favorized... Tells you a lot about what the community wants...

Maybe it's because a good portion of us have had enough of it. If I have to play on the same map over and over again every few months, then I start to hate it. There was a time when I was sent to RPD almost every game and I hated it for that alone. I don't need to play on the same map 7/10 times.
I play more killer than survivor and the same would happen, if I had to play 7/10 games on Midwich or Saloon (or any other map). It just gets old. I have enough of one map when I see it 3+ times a day.

I don't really think that way... I could play every match in that map and not one second would I miss Ormond or the Game or Garden of Joy or whatever map... As long as it is a good balanced map I could play it all day long.

You're not the only ones. I hate this event, and I mostly play map offerings after a while, both as survivor and killer (by map offerings I just mean azarov and McMillan)

Honestly it feels like I always get the same maps anyway so it might as well be ones I like

I dont mind the increased Map oddities. I just dont understand how Maps like Hawkins or The Game can be the most picked. Because they are not really good for either side.
Especially Hawkins baffles me after we just had a time where the odds for Hawkins were increased.

Devs should say ohh so u like these maps? Lets rework it and make em even more tiny so killer can enjoy em too

How Hawkins got picked is beyond me. It's one of the worst maps for both roles.

I just wish I knew why so many other players seem to love the maps that I hate.
Dead Dog is cool, no issues with that. I like the spooky vibes of Midwich and Hawkins, but as maps to play on for both sides they're easily among my least favourites.
You can send me to the Game with Legion equipped with Surge/Jolt any day of the week, but it doesn't vibe with my Survivor play style at all. It's so bright and there's no way to easily sneak about the map. The Killer is never very far away. I'm sure the only reason players like this map is because it has at least 100 pallets on it.
So yeah, I am not a fan of boosted maps.

not to mention that we are talking about "killer vs survivor VOTES"
survivors are always gonna prefer the most "fUn"
brokenmaps and as you can see thats why 99% of this event the winners are survivors with the same maps all over the place:springwood / coldwind / ormond / dead dawg / yamaoka
nothing changes there on each event thank god old cowshed its gone but still RNG can make the new one a pain to deal with.
