How on earth does SBMM work (or not)?
I must have played around 15 games against Chucky. Except for 2, all of them were hyper sweaty, camping and tunnelling. Then I've switched to play killer for a while, my first game as Huntress, completey stomped. That is fine, I guess, since I play as her often lately. I have started playing as Chucky then, and twice in a row (only 2 games) I have been completely stomped by ultra sweaty, gen-rushing SWFs. I'm getting sick of playing this game, tbh.

Sure it does take all my will to play fair away. Well, all my will to play for that matter, since I don't really enjoy camping or tunnelling.

Killer (per killer):
- Incease on kill
- Decrease on escapes
Survivor (all):
- Increase on escape
- Decrease on death.
New killers will use your baseline MMR. Which is the average of all your killer's. Now MMR doesn't mean much with long queue times as the match making system will prefer a faster match up than waiting for a perfect match.
SWFs will match based on the highest MMR player in the group.

First of all, thank you for your detailed explanation. So, let's say I start playing as Chucky and the average MMR of my killers is, well, average (I don't think I'm skilled enough to be in high MMR, though I sometimes think so. If all four survivors escape in my first match, shouldn't it be lowered? Because I couldn't notice any difference in the second one. If anything, they were sweatier.

SBMM doesn't work, it's a slot machine that sometimes gives you balanced matches and usually gives you complete nonsense

It also takes in general Killer skill... so you maybe be good at one Killer but starting a new Killer it'll take the average from all Killers
It does suck... but it's something that won't change any time soon

I remember something about survivor SBMM being per versed killer. Don't recall if it's true but if it's not it should.
One number cannot equally measure the strength versing a Trapper and versing, say, a Nurse.

Uh have you forgotten that chucky released yesterday? Most people want to play the new licensed killer which means longer killer ques. After a certain point the mmr says ######### it and throws you into a match with whoever.
Its either that or 20 minute ques

This. At a certain point the game will throw MMR out the window and queue you up with whoever.
Chucky is crazy popular and I've heard of folks waiting forever to play a game as him. So you pretty much will get whoever the game finds for you at this point. There's likely a slight carry on affect to all this to other killers.

It takes time for it go down. If you continue to lose every match, it will adjust to down faster for new killers.

No, its just typical that stronger killers would be at the higher mmr range. Also there's the soft cap (that was recently adjusted) that throws varying skill levels into the same queue.

I'm pretty sure they reverted back the MMR change they did a few weeks ago.

Well, I think it's time for me to take a break for this game. It'll be hard, because I still feel that I want to play it, but tbh the last days have been extremely frustrating and infuriating, both as survivor and killer. It's kind of sad because hopefully I'll be moving out on January and won't be able to play for a year (save for weekends). But I just can't cope with the anger and frustration this game makes me feel as of lately. I guess I'll still try and play every few days and see if I get more interesting, actually challenging and not downright 'impossible odds' kind of games, but I must say I'm doubtful. Maybe I'm a bit burnt. I don't know. Anyway, I hope you people enjoy it. And I hope I can get to enjoy it again before the end of the year too. Cheers.
