Help with patch on PS4

So a my best friend gameshares off his brothers PlayStation plus extra which has DBD as one of the free games included.

Unfortunately every other update, his game has an error code "CE-34224-5" saying app data is corrupted. It started after the xenomorph update and it was still playable with the exception of every few matches it would crash, but now he can't get into the game at all. As soon as he loads in and gets to the main menu, the error code appears.

I was wondering if anyone on here has had this problem and knew of a way to fix it. He has factory reset the console, deleted the game and redownloaded it. I even contacted customer support for help, but we can't seem to find anyway of fixing the issue. I thought maybe the community could help.

EDIT: He also tried rebuilding database and restoring the license
