Funny Stories from the Game

Do you all have any funny stories? I have had a few times where something made me laugh so hard that I cried.

Before DC BOTS, Playing against Ghostface on eerie of crows. The killer tunneled a Survivor (Meg, I think) off the hook.

She disconnected just as he hooked her for the 2nd time. Her character was on the hook with the Entity struggle phase but she was still doing the animation as though she was being carried.

We all walked up together and watched what looked like her trying to swim out of 2nd hook. The Ghostface just stared as did I.

Eventually, the game realized she was gone and Ghostface killed everyone else.

Have any funny stories 😄 ?

I blink into a locker one time as the nurse. I don't remember the map but it was cozy inside.

I once had a match as Billy on Haddonfield with an Ace, that really seemed to enjoy my company. He was pretty good and always stuck somewhat close to me but he didn't put himself in any real danger. He also tried to sabo every time I had a down. But because he didn't touch gens, I never really went after him. What I didn't predict however was what would happen next. I chased one of his teammates around a house and was about to curve them, when out of nowhere Ace appeared and took the hit with Mettle of Man. He then looked at me and started nodding slowly.

That was the moment I realised that I could not win. Not against this absolute specimen of an Ace.

Something else I experienced with this killer was a golden moment of matchmaking. I went against an anti hook SWF, that would only try to sabo and use break out (anything to only prevent hooks). But I had the backpack build, that consisted of Mad Grit, Awakened Awareness, Agitation and Iron Grasp. They could never make me drop anyone and went down repeatedly for trying to sabo. The end game chat was filled with very wholesome messages of them telling me what a terrible killer / person I was and how I was so toxic for bringing this build. The Steve that I gave hatch to was especially unhappy.

During Dredge's nightfall, I was by the shack with Bill hooked in the basement. He dies on hook and floats out of the ground in front of me, still glowing white. Quite a trippy experience.

I once had a trial with 5 survivors and no killer.

It lasted for about 1 or 2 seconds before the game gave everyone an escape, but it was pretty funny.

Long, looong while ago had a match against a plague with friends. Was a usual game until the end. So I was on the last gen, popped it and was immediately struck by noed. Now the thing is that I didn't go down. Infact I got up for some reason T-posing and started to float around. Apparently everyone else was seeing this cause the killer stopped to stare and my friend were going "#########?". The Killer, reasonably wanting their prey down, tried again. Swung right through me. Eventually I went to the basement to try a box, but couldn't open it....or use the stairs after as I went through the stairs and under the map. Couldn't even escape. Had to DC so the match would end.

Have no idea HOW I got to that point (and probably won't ever recreate it) but was a hilarious invincible mode.

Funny is subjective but these all made me laugh at time (all before you started playing I believe & all bugs)

    1. 4 people start in the shack 3 survivors & a bubba! Bubba also somehow starts before everyone wipes all 3 of us out + the 4th survivor who unfortunately jumped through the window! 3 survivors dc on mass & bubba gives me the hatch & you guessed it that was in the shack too!

    2. Killer messaged me many years ago when I was still playing on playstation. He wanted to know how to do mime emotes, like I was in game & thats why he didn't kill me thought it was so funny!

I wasn't miming the gens were invisible! (Yes that was a thing too long ago! Not every gen I don't believe but certainly some!)

    3. Again long ago I was Myers I t3 took out a jake & picked him up. Then I couldn't hook him, couldn't drop him, couldn't attack or or do anything but walk around carrying jake!

I was confused the other survivors were confused! I assume Jake was confused! Well eventually they did gens (long before end game collapse) & one by one the left I was just stood by a hook at this point waiting to dc, 3rd survivor left & hook prompt popped up! I would have let him go normally but for some reason I hit hook & I hooked him & he died.

At least he did until the end screen when miraculously he actually escaped! With very few bloodpoints!

Or possibly my favourite 4th 3 survivors & 2 killers (yes we had that too!)

Other 2 survivors dc as soon as they noticed but thats just not me so I offered myself as sacrifice to the elephant suit wearing clown who downed me!

Then legion came running over & the 2 stood over me trying to knife each other until I bled out I'd like to think they were fighting over who was going to give me the hatch but I guess they both lost!

I remember when I was still new new, and learning Pig as my first killer, I was playing on Garden of Joy.

I downed and trapped a Chris Redfield and went on my way to hunt more, I crouched a lot back then and needless to say, it was slow going finding survivors. Long story short Chris eventually died to his head trap. I didn't have nasty add ons or chased him off boxes or anything, I was busy struggling to work out where survivors were, and I'd read don't chase a trapped survivor, protect gens instead.

After checking the upstairs gen, I crouched out of the front door of Main, and there was Chris dead in the middle of the map, like a dead mouse a cat had left in front of the porch. All the survivors were gathered round him nodding and crouch pointing at him.

They saw me and started pointing at me... like an accusatory mob. I laughed and in my mind thought "this is funny, we'll reset and start chases in a minute". Cosmic Cheryl walked up to me and pointed in my face... I now know that was booping the snoot, but at that point I had never seen players do this before, so I saw that as my queue to leave. I backed up, stood and ran upstairs to reset.

Looking back at it now, it looked like I was poked in the nose and I had Amanda run away like an upset teen being ridiculed by her peers xD

In the end noone ever ran away, and I think I had a mori equipped cause I wanted to see what Pig's mori was... so I eventually I ended up killing Cosmic Cheryl... like coming back as the awkward kid taking revenge on my high school bully xD

Once a Rebecca tried to body block me after I downed her teammate and then right after she jumped into a locker right next to me trying to Head On me after I hook her teammate. However I was using Blood Echo so right after I hooked her she become exhausted so when she attempted to Head On me I just grabbed her.

First time I used deception I used it on a locker a teammate was in thinking the perk wouldn’t work if someone was in a locker but it did and then the person was caught since I was in mid chase

    the person disconnected

An amusing game that stands out for me was one I had back in the early Mikaela days, the time where every killer was scared or wary of her because of her boons.

I was playing her - with NO boons - and on a gen, watching Nemesis chase someone in the distance. A Zarina set up Circle of Healing and as soon as the boon sound rang, I saw Nemesis drop chase and run off. I just knew he was coming for me so I started following him and watched him just running past and ignoring all the other survivors. Eventually he spotted me and he chased me all over the map, he would not let up. Once he hooked me he stood guard in front of me (which he hadn't done to a previous survivor) just shaking his head. I think the other survivors knew what had happened because after they popped the last gen, the Zarina made a point of blessing a totem again. As soon as Nemy heard the sound, he turned and walked off, looking down all ashamed. He let them unhook me and the Zarina did a crouch dance around him. I could practically hear the "it was meeee" coming from her lol cracked me up tbh

There were sooo many hilarious glitches from back in the earlier DBD years.

One made all the Survivors gigantic and they took up the entire screen😄

Another fav was Survivors getting unhooked and then floating around appearing as tho still hooked.

There was a really cool audio bug on GF where revealing him was an endless crescendo of that SFX but after 20 sec or so the server would disconnect. That one was actually kinda freaky.

Always was silly seeing Survivors and Killers randomly stuck on the edge of mounds in Auto Wreckers, just standing there spinning in circles.

DBD has come a very long way since the days of not only constant bugs, but really over the top glitches. Devs have done extremely well on that front.

This is a view from Survivor side☝🏽

Thats what it looked like as Killer☝🏽

Never saw it as Killer. Back then I was playing mostly Survivor. Just remember Nea’s butt was all I could see on the screen and it was impossible to do anything. Was hilarious watching streamers reactions experiencing it for the first time😄

When someone tries to be a superhero and ends up jumping down for a save and gets downed instead. Also, funny angry survivor messages post-match be the best; it's always everyone else but them.

Most of my funny stories are about cocky survivors, "bullies" and karma.

A classic, if very old one, is the cocky survivor who is tea-bagging a Nurse at the exit gate. I blink behind her with NOED. The salt in the end-game chat was gold. The cherry on top was that her teammates were laughing to her face too.

The above story happened several times with a couple of variations like instead of blinking behind I blink right next and flip the survivor back (like it happens sometimes when giving a hit). Almost always end in salt.

There is the story of these two un-hookable survivors. Hooks were spaced further with an offering and they had a build that made it basically impossible to carry them. They also had some kind of insta-heal for the dying state. I was playing a basic "impossible skill-checks" Doctor and it was pretty hard. What happened is what always happens in these cases. They became increasingly cocky. I switched gears to be unpredictable and at some point I managed to down one on a hook and slug the other who thought that crawling in a corner was the best move. I stood up for several seconds before he started to turn left and right. Then I made several emphatic "yes" and waited. I've kept his dying backside company until he bled out. The last two survivors were too busy playing gen-jockey to come for the hooked guy who was only a few meters in my back. (That helped me a lot). In the end the gen-jockey survived but I was very happy to get the to "memers".

As Nurse, I'm often using the basic skin. For a while, way before the Starstruck nerf, I enjoyed playing like a beginner to encourage cocky survivors to "disrespect" me. The game was to kill them all when they were close together nagging. It was a stupid idea but it worked so well. I remember this game were that Nea "escaped" me several times and, gradually, gained confidence. Given their behavior I think at least 3 were on coms. Once they were confident I was totally inoffensive they started to click, to nag, to tap gens while I was painfully trying to look like a fool and get a (calculated) lucky hit. And when I got that "lucky" hit I immediately got a second one, grabbed, dropped, downed two others (who were still dancing) with two blink attacks then proceeded chasing the last one and downed him effortlessly. They all died in with a single hook. In the chat I got insulted and called a noob Nurse xD. It was so funny. (I had passed the 15K registered blink attacks at the time)

I had something similar to that last one during the snowman event. The Killer hops in a snowman during the winter event and we end up all goofing around until someone does the last gen. NOED pops, they jump out the snowman and kill everyone in a couple of minutes. I couldn't even be mad.

Oh boy… if yall could have seen the streamer I went against yesterday. I was absolutely dying watching the vod of our match. The immediate anger and salt was unlike anything I’ve ever seen in my dbd days.
