Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Will "The Casting of Frank Stone" Become A Future DLC For DBD?

For those who havent seen the trailer:

This is suppose to be a game created in collaboration with Supermassive Games (known well for their story-based games like Until Dawn).

From the promo material and the trailer, it seems like Frank Stone is suppose to be loosely based off of Evan MacMillan, with the comparison being heavily drawn with their connection to welding, iron mills, and leaving a legacy of pain and blood wherever he walked.

However, even with the two characters being similar, I think the character's visual design is really damn good, and the character would already have a lot of rich lore tied to them via the game that Supermassive Games is making.

I think the potential for an actual Chapter, if not at least Ultra Rare cosmetics, is here for base-game DBD.

I’d be really surprised if he didn’t appear in some form. Depending on the release window, maybe even as an actual killer.

Bhvr owns the copyright for the spin-off game, the same way Sony owns Until Dawn and 2K owns The Quarry.

So yes, legally there's nothing stopping them from adding it to the main game.
