Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Why doesn't Ellen Ripley's perk, Lucky Star, show the aura of lockers?

Upon exiting the locker, it should stop showing the auras of lockers so it can't block survivors and generators aura for 10 seconds.

Unless they've changed something, it doesn't show locker auras. But I've not used it since the update.

Wait, are you saying it should show locker auras when you're outside a locker? I don't think it needs this ability, to be honest. I've never had too much trouble finding a locker and I personally wouldn't welcome the added aura visual clutter.

I'd much prefer BHVR rework the pools of blood aspect of the perk. Who cares if you don't make pools of blood while inside a locker if there are pools of blood leading up to it, anyway?

Sorry, I fixed my title. No, this perk never shown the lockers of aura neither in PTB. This perk would be so much better if it did though I can learn the locker layout and if I do get blinded, I at least remember the locations. I also think this is good for maps with lots of LoS like Lery's. Makes me think of how useful Visionary is in that map.

It can also help me with my locker build.

I've not bought the Alien DLC but from the description of the perk, it shouldn't be showing the aura of lockers ever. If it -is- showing locker auras it must be a bug.

It doesn't sound like a very good perk to be fair. At best it might be alright in a Quick and Quiet/Head On type build, so you can still use 'em while injured, but your blood and scratch marks will still lead to the locker. If you use the perk on it's own, and you enter a locker in chase, the killer is probably still gonna find you. If you aren't in chase, who cares about being quiet and having no blood?

I fixed my title. I want this perk to show the aura of lockers when I'm not inside one. When I'm exiting, it should stop showing the lockers aura for 10 seconds so it doesn't hide the survivors and generators auras.

That makes more sense. Though being able to see all the lockers on the map when the perk isn't on cooldown might be too strong. Could make it a certain range maybe and that'd be cool. Would also make it more unique since I don't think any other survivor perks let you see lockers?

Might overload the perk though. While I don't think it's very strong, and still wouldn't be with that effect added, it'd just do too many things.

All of Ripley's perks are so trash while Xeno got really good perks.

They had nice ideas for her perks but the limitations make them too niche or situational.
