Guys, does my requests being ignored by your support staff?
13 days ago I created a request about a blatant cheater in DBD, who BTW! Have a Youtube account, and regulary uploading a videos of him playing a game as a survivor with cheats, basically ruins the game for killers.
A usual message from Jacob (Dead by daylight), when you creating a ticket:
"Your request (*******) has been received and is being reviewed by our support staff."
"To add additional comments, reply to this email."
I will repeat: It's been 13 almost 14 days ago. I replied to the message: "Hello, is something going to happen with my request?" And getting silence in return.
13 days of waiting is a pretty long time for such an obvious request. (Youtube channel full of games with cheats)
To this day (I checked), the guy is still playing the game with cheats. Still uploading a videos of him ruining the games for killers.
Mods: I created an additional request about other 2 "anonymous" guys who were purposely abusing the "flashlight-locker bug", with evidence. (They getting flashlights from chests, avoiding the killswtich)
Let's see how long does it take for support staff to answer me...
But in any case, not good guys. 2 weeks and still no any answer from support staff.

A lot of times those kinds of cheaters just make new accounts which makes them harder to keep banning which just results in people not reporting them or devs just not banning them since they're only gonna ban evade anyways. The only true way for devs in game companies like BHVR can really put a stop on these kinds of people is by actively targetting their cheating methods instead of the players themselves since they'd have to develop a new cheating method which is longer-lasting than just banning them only for them to just simply make a new account.
As for the locker exploit the killswitch doesn't work for players who never restarted their clients and some players will actively avoid restarting their clients until the exploit is patched just so they can keep doing and BHVR aren't banning players doing this because it's something that they're at fault for essentially because they never coded it to be that killswitches count as an official update to force client restarts and other reasons.

It can be really tricky depending on how savvy the cheater is. Most cheaters are just script kiddies and it's really easy to issue a HWID ban. Others can make it difficult to actually report the correct account. The profile that comes up on Steam is not necessarily the account they're playing on. Sometimes it actually takes an investigation to ban.

I'm not gonna lie, that is the LONGEST time I've waited for a support team to answer me at least anything, in any other games.
Usually in other games I was waiting 10 hours --- 3 days.
A simple: "We are investigating your request." - Will be enough for me. For real.
Right now I feel like they are ignoring the request, or simply just threw it into the trash can.
As I was saying: Either way - not good. Takes way too long without any answer. Awful customer service!

They'll get to it after they throw out all the reports for tunneling and t-bagging.

The last couple of blatant cheaters I've reported (teleporters, caught multiple times on video) have never been banned (I've kept a link to their Steam profile)
I've stopped reporting cheaters since. Not worth my time nor the bandwidth.

I contacted them around a month ago about a cheater and it took a month for them to get back to me. They do say it could be a while but compared to other companies I feel like it takes years.

While I don't actually think they will ever get to it you aren't completely wrong. The sheer amount of people who report in the moment of game rage is staggering. I'm sure they have piles of pointless anger to shovel through for every good report.

This is what I did as well. I just gave up, I've sent video proof, reported in game, etc. Oddly enough Steam has banned people for stalking me, but the cheating...radio silence :(
I wish they had a team (or maybe they do?) dedicated to catching cheaters, with or without video proof.

I wish their dumb servers were able to detect speed-hacking and teleportation automatically. It's not rocket science.
For each character, if its current speed is higher than what is possible given its various states (Boon, Hit boost, ...) then flag the player.
But the servers are barely more than data brokers.

Your comment made me look up the last cheater I reported (Prestige 76 with 12 hours on steam, so that should have been easy). Still not banned but has multiple comments calling them a cheater aswell.
Bhvr told me they took action btw, this report system ist a joke.

The only issue with that is they will force cheats onto content creators to get them banned, they attempted to get Otz banned in this way a year or so ago I believe he still has the video up where the hacker forced the hacks on his character and he starts freaking out

Chile. I made 3 reports with video evidence of sandbagging teammates working with killer and I never get ingame report feedbacks of an action being taken. So I just gave up reporting altogether. I lost faith in them. So at least I can't be disappointed any longer when it comes to their report system. Its bad.

That's why I said "flagged". People play rarely together. I mean your opponents (and teammates if you aren't a pre-made) change from match to match. If such occurrence is rare one can guess a third party may be at work.
While correlating all the players present every time someone gets flagged, you can isolate the source and take action.
