Is there a lagswitching pandemic?

There is something weird going on. I hit a survivor and they get their usual speed boost but it goes on forever when I chase them. When I check the menus their ping is above the 1000 ms and when I stop chasing them, their ping is stable again. I also downed a Feng and she crawled at mach 20 speed even though she was playing on console.

Could it be Overcome and Tenacity? Although the ping spike wouldn't make sense though. Have heard of more advanced hackers on another cross platform game that can make their ID show as a different platform even though they are on PC to try and mask the fact they are cheating. Hopefully that hasn't come to DBD also.

Tbh I would blame the game not the player... Dbd pings have been awful for a while.

The globe icon also shows on Epic Store accounts, which allegedly are a huge source of cheats due to a keep-it-for-free weekend they had there once. For what it's worth

Yesterday I had two games where as soon I was about to down a Survivor my controls locked up. I could move my character but I couldn’t look around. In one game it cleared up but in the other I got disconnected. The lobby showed that I was the one who disconnected.

It technically could have been internet problems but I don’t usually have Wifi issues or anything like that.

I can’t prove it but it definitely felt suspicious.

You know some people can just have awful internet.

I live out in the woods, meaning my ping is not consistent. Sometimes I have a nice 40 ms, sometimes I have 1100+ ms.

As someone who has experienced rural internet, don't forget they exist and can't control their terrible internet that can also be a problem for them at times.

I remember one time getting rubberbanded back to an open space when I was trying to loop a pallet. I think both me and the killer were confused.
