Exploding gens when letting go
What I’m talking about is the random event where survivors let go of generators, get a skill check, and simply gets hit with a 10% gen regression out of dumb luck.
This should have been removed a long time ago, but given the Jan 2024 patch notes:
”At least 5% of the Generator’s total charges must be repaired to stop regression, otherwise it will begin regressing again when the Survivor stops repairing.”
This gameplay feature urgently needs to go.

Yes, it needs to go, but it's not that easy, as it's caused by latency. In order to actually fix it, they'd need to allow for a survivor to let go of a generator to avoid a skill check, as there is no other way to know if your latency caused to to miss the popup that the server side registered for you.

I don't believe that failing a skill check makes the gen start regressing. It just gives a blanket 10% off the progress.

Correct. Missing a skill check doesn't cause regression to kick in.
