Will The Deja Vu buffs be reverted now?
If I'm remembering correctly, the buffs to deja vu were made in order to help with the increasingly prevalent 3 gen meta while the devs worked on a more permanent fix to the 3 gen issue. The easy to get increased gen repair speed made this perk insanely popular, with it appearing at least once in every single match I've played since the buff.
Now that the permanent solution to 3 genning is being implemented, will this buff to deja vu be reverted now, or will it be left as is?

Deja Vu's measely 6% is not the reason why its picked. Its because of the information it provides.
This is probably one of the last perks in need of a nerf

The only perks that give a higher boost to repair speed than 6% are prove thyself, overzealous and sole survivor. Prove Thyself requires working with someone, overzealous requires cleansing/blessing a totem, and sole survivor requires you to literally be the last one alive.
Meanwhile with deja vu, you just get the boost if you work on one the multiple generators shown to you at all times. And since it's 3 generators, at any point after the first gen is done, that means this boost applies to half or more of the generators in the map.

Yeah, its boost is meant to only work on those gens as its meant to break 3 gens (which btw is still going to be a valid option after the patch, just not chess merchants level of valid)
Also it only saves about 5 seconds, which is barely anything and serves nothing more than increasing serotonin levels from seeing a yellow bar.

I feel like we'd probably still need to see how the new anti-3gen works on the PTB to know how valid of an option will be going forward. I personally get the feeling that it will be effective enough at preventing 3 gens that having both that and present state deja vu in the game at the same time would just be overkill.

and resilience and quick gambit are faster than deja vu as well. in fact, of all the perks that directly increase generator speeds, only friendly competition has less of an effect

Deja vu is designed to avoid 3 gen scenarios by helping you break them before they become an issue.
This new anti 3 gen mechanic is designed to halt a 3 gen stalemate after it's becone a problem.
They address two entirely different things.

Its not that it "needs a nerf" it is that it was buffed for the purpose of bandaiding this, and was done so expecting to be changed back when the actual 3 gen fix was in.
Similar to how way way back in the day, DS used to be 3 seconds, but because enduring working against it, making it literally useless, they buffed it to 5 seconds until they reworked enduring to not work against it. Then they reworked enduring, but never nerfed it back to 3 seconds until somewhat recently. Finally closing the loop on that original promise.

BHVR have an "if it ain't broke don't fix it policy"
Unless Deja Vu turns out to be an overacheiver in light of the new mechanics, then there's no reason for it to be changed.

wdym? old billy was a little too good so they tried to fix him.

Sure, nerf Deja Vu
but for the price of old Dead Hard, Made for This, etc to come back
