it’s one of those weird things where I find myself being way more into the chase as it’s intense more

    Knowing that you can't make a single mistake in the chase makes you anxious, but we have two options, either you calm down and play safe, or you despair and end up dying

    It usually makes people play safer, which in turn makes them better. The DbD community is weird, and you're not cool if you play well, so a lot of players take hits they don't have to take instead of simply dropping a pallet. That changes a bit when instadowns are in play.
