Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Dedicated Servers

Dead by daylight has been on dedicated servers since 2019, and that being one of the best changes the game has made. What frustrates me the most as a survivor main is being put on the wrong server and having over 100+ ping. Having that high of ping, most windows and pallets you would normally make on your normal server, you don't. Being solo que, there should be no reason why you'd be on different servers, you're not playing with anyone on another server, no vpns, etc. If the game is based on hits and you only have 2 of them to spare, playing on high ping and losing those hits can defiantly be a deterrent from playing.

After the new chapter release my bad ping of 120 - 160 went to worse. Over 300. I would just like to know why this is? I was kind of use to the old ping, but i can not play the game anymore with my ping being this bad. And that to me is extremely sad. I love playing this game.

It's not all rainbows and sunshine.

Having a bad connection still affects the overall game play. Some players are not near a server and would have a better time playing with those near them.

Later on years from now, the servers will be turned off killing the ability to play. I've heard about custom servers but that's a bit extreme compared to a native P2P.
