How Would You Change the Top 3 Killers in the Game At the Moment?

When it comes to the top 3 strongest Killers in the game, I think the community as a whole can agree that Nurse takes first place, Blight second, and Spirit third. All 3 of these Killers have been strong for essentially their entire existence in the game, so how would we change them so the Killer meta becomes a bit more diverse?

Nurse

The Nurse is unanimously the strongest Killer in Dead by Daylight, and has been for nearly 8 whole years. She's been nerfed time and time again yet nothing seems to knock her off her pedestal. A couple of reasons why she's so powerful are:

  • Has the best chase ability in the game; can blink through walls, pallets, windows, literally any terrain/obstacle that every other Killer would have to play around
  • This renders pallets, windows and walls essentially useless against her
  • Against a competent Nurse, the only counterplay is based off of predicting her moves and not allowing her to predict yours
  • Her Blinks give her a lot of map traversal and therefore pressure
  • She is very forgiving in terms of skill compared to Blight for example
  • Because of the above reasons, she can also snowball a game easily

I could go on and on about why this Killer's Power is so problematic, but I might just be typing a whole essay at that point. The main issues with her for me are that her blinks essentially ignore the game's core mechanics such as use of pallets and windows in chase, and that it's difficult to predict her Blink movement. I think she'll always be a strong Killer as long as she has the ability to no-clip through walls, but it would be beneficial if her Power was more telegraphed. For example, a visual cue that shows where she will arrive after Blinking allowing for Survivors to react in time. What are your suggestions for a change to Nurse?

Blight

Some players argue that the Blight is actually stronger than the Nurse, but I have to disagree with that take. Blight may be very strong in chase and have better map traversal, but he still has to play around pallets, around windows, around walls, and he takes significantly more skill than Nurse to use effectively. Additionally, he's much easier to anticipate and dodge than Nurse provided you have decent reaction time.

Now that his add-ons have been finally nerfed, he's no longer as problematic, but undoubtedly the second strongest Killer. A change I'd like to see is making him a 110% movement speed Killer. He's fast enough as is with his Power, he should not be able to play like an M1 killer AND have crazy speed. What do you think about Blight's strength though?

Spirit

At one point, Spirit was arguably stronger than Nurse due to having ZERO counterplay and a set of busted add-ons (mainly MDR). But ever since she had directional audio implemented and her strongest add-ons have been nerfed, she's been in a relatively healthy state overall, and I'd argue she doesn't need much changes. She doesn't take much skill to use effectively, as long as you have a good headset and awareness, you'll be fine. But some might say that's where she can become problematic. If you're injured and she's phasing and has decent hearing, there's not much you can do to outplay her because she can track you by your loud moans. Despite this, Spirit is punished HARD for not using her power effectively, if you use a lot of the power meter up and don't get the hit, you can expect a long and difficult chase until you get it back.

I don't think changes are entirely necessary, but I'd like to see the removal of being able to track scratch marks while in phase, with slight speed buffs and the ability to hear Survivor audio better in phase to compensate. As well as this, a constant power cooldown would also be decent in my opinion. Right now the cooldown depends on how long you use your phase for, short for short phases and long for long phases. I think a happy medium between the two would be nice. What are your opinions, though?

Let me know how you think these Killers should be changed, if at all, and your opinions on my takes! Do you have a differing opinion on who the top 3 Killers are? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts!
