So this new killer coming up...
I just want to echo the sentiment that the teasers for this killer are really good. Leaning into the internet creepypasta aspect is doing wonders for it, especially that recent JP DBD Twitter video. Uncanny valley vibes where it obviously looks fake, but has a similar vibe as internet horror stuff. Good stuff, BHVR.
I just hope the killer lives up to the hype.

A lot of people are saying Wendigo or Skinwalker and BHVR was maybe even more clever than they realize setting this in Greenville. Because Skinwalker stories are specific to the Navajo and Wendigos are more specific to the tribes of the Appalachians.
So which one it is if either depends entirely if we're talking about Greenville, Utah or Greenville, South Carolina lol.

I've wanted either one for awhile, only slightly lower than a C'thulu inspired chapter for me. Either one would be a win for me.
But man if that's actually the case with Greenville that's amazing lmao.

I haven't seen much of the new teasers, so I don't know what kind of killer it will be.
I just hope it doesn't mislead players like The Legion did; making everyone think the killer can pretend to be a survivor to blend in for a surprise attack. SWF on comms would not allow such a killer to be viable.
What I would hope for instead is a killer that copies other killer's powers briefly and cycles between them, changing form every 60 seconds (or changing form everytime a generator is completed, or after hooking a survivor and being out of line-of-sight of survivors). The downside would be "why play X, Y, or Z killer, when I can play this killer and be X, Y, AND Z instead?"

All the teasers seem to stress the ability to mimic sound of both people and in one case a dog. So I don't think it'll be pretending to be a survivor so much as screwing around with people's audio which considering how important sound cues are in this game could be effective even against a SWF.

Hopefully its more than just a crawler. I mean, what would that add that we've not seen before? Will be low to the ground like Chucky, bursts forward like Demo and probably moves around like Blight. Underwhelming going on the teasers for me.

If not survivor then why survivor sized in survivor like clothes? Ngl when legion first dropped I was confused if it was survivor or killer coming towards me. Sometimes on dark maps the pig will still confuse me.

Firstly, the build up is great! I'm enjoying this CreepyPasta theme and the way the chapter is being shaped. It makes me wish for a future chapter to use analogue horror as a set of teasers, like Greylock.
As for the power, guessing by the teasers I'm going to have a punt the Killer has the ability to leap in various directions, able to cut off escape routes. Maybe also has a stealth ability that replaces the terror radius with survivor injured sounds, using the ability to lure people to it. This may not be the case, but just an assumption.
As for the reception, there will always be people disappointed. Some may feel misled (even though there would be no concrete evidence to suppose they were). It would be natural that such a big build-up may lead to disappointment, even if it's a good Killer design.
Regardless, I'm looking forward to next week and seeing what this Killer is like!

I'm really enjoying all these teasers and I'm very excited. I hope it can mimic survivors in some way!
I love licenses, but I still prefer original chapters because we know nothing about them and are more mysterious. Also they are more likely to get skins + being able to buy them with shards. And deeper lore.
Most of my fav killers are original like Oni, Dredge and Singularity 😬

I loathe the reliance on Twitter, because as someone with no Twitter account, the site doesn't function properly at all. When I check DbD's account, all it shows me is posts from years ago, same for other DbD content accounts.

Even with a Twitter account. Its a nightmare. When i search the DbD account, i get tons of unrelated posts. Honestly, i haven´t figured out how to find the Japanese DbD Twitter. I only find the "normal" one.
