Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Why don't we just remove the pre-game lobby?

It wastes so much time, especially when people leave and rejoin due to not liking the lobby, for whatever reason. Killers dodge matches that are fair, survs dodge teammates they deem not strong enough, people join and rejoin, and backfill completely messes up any semblance of matchmaking.

Why not just search for a match, when a match is found, you get a ready up check, and when all 5 players have readied up, you go straight into loading screen? I would be okay with skipping the map offering screen as well, but that's another story.

That would lead to far higher quality matches, and far faster matches too. I see literally zero downside to remove the pre-game lobby, except for the occasional nice interaction in pre game chat. I mean if the killer could be part of the pre game chat, that would actually be kind of fun. But that's not even possible. And I rarely get anyone talking there when I play surv. Plus, console players can't talk nor check steam profiles. So what really is the point?
