Ban in steam for share family ?
A friend has a VAC ban on steam in dead by daylight. And he has a family share activated with me. He doesn't share the game with me because I already have it, but does it affect me at all that he has that VAC ban in the game even though he doesn't share the game with me?

DBD doesn't use VAC, so if it's an actual vac ban they have and they claim it's from DBD they're straight up lying. If you meant a "game ban", then I honestly don't know and would heavily encourage you to reconsider family sharing with someone that has a history of cheating to begin with. Both for the safety of your own account and to not "help" them cheat in additional games/ban evade in some way.
I know VAC bans can be "transferred" if someone you share a game with gets one, it's on the family sharing FAQ page. I have no idea how it works for "game bans" like what a permaban from DBD would show up as.

I understand but I mean. The ban in the game, if it is already applied to the other account and shares the library with me. Does that ban that is already in place affect me in any way?

If you both own the game, it won't be shared in the first place for either of you - you'll both be playing on your own copies.
I can not say anything for sure about how this interacts with bans or really any other details, I'd try asking somewhere on Steam.
