Is trapper bugged?
Or is there some type of meme addon?
Normally you get injured by traps and when he hits while trapped you get downed.

Its the Padded Jaws add-on. Survivors no longer lose a health state when they run into your traps but you get extra BP.

Same reason you'd run any meme addon. You couldn't care less about the results and just want to goof off.

I'll add on-to the add-on talk :3 like SimFeliz and Xernoton said, there's a "meme" aspect to it where you don't want to take the round entirely serious.
There is, however, two other reasons!
1) 100% bonus bloodpoints for catching Survivors in Bear Traps
2) Along with bonus BP, when you hit Survivors out of a bear trap (and they are not yet aware of Padded Jaws), they automatically think they are downed and may take them a moment to realize they're only injured, often allowing them to be follow-up hit... I know, because: I am frequently, THAT Survivor 😅

It was so weird to play against. It confused me so hard. I was following and disarming his traps, because I didn‘t want to do gens and then I ran into them.
The round was fun and in the end I also died, because I played a bit dumb and wanted save the my teammate, which I succeeded.

Aside from what others have said, with STBFL you were able to run this Add On in the past quite effective.
You can use the Padded Jaws and the Honing Stone (the Add On which puts Survivors into Dying State when they free themselves). This would mean that you get two Hits on Non-Obsessions who are trapped and can just grab the Obsession without them being free.
(Obviously, really bad if two Survivors are close to each other, because then you dont even get them injured)
