why do they give killers sacrificial ward if the survivors map offerings work anyway
seriously I have 0 of these because I used em all and they never stopped survivors map offerings. I have burned hundreds of them and they do nothing. why do we even get them? No they are not burning 4 identical offerings before you ask. Been playing since Freddy came out

Because Sacrificial Ward is not banning maps, it only cancels map offerings. There is still chance to go those realms survivors asked. But map offerings will have not effect on it since you used Sacrificial Ward.

It isnt. You just remember the times where it happens. But you dont remember the times where you get on a different map.

Idk how this effect is called but I can see it from myself in real life.
When something happens against you, you remember it and get angry.
When something happens in your favour, you don't notice and forget it because you expect the better scenario anyways.
Best personal example. Everytime I want to cross a street, a car comes... but only when I want to cross the street.. so it feels like life is personally insulting me.
But everytime I cross the street without a car coming, I ignore it because it's irrelevant.
Most people remember the negative, which is quite bad tbh.

It should still cause the offering to backfire meaning instead of being sent there there is now a 100% chance you do not go to any of the maps offered.
Map offerings in general should be map bans rather then 'go to this obviously killer/survivor sided map' anyway. The fact that the item that counters them still ultimately means there's a slightly less then 1 in 20 chance you get sent to that map anyway is too high. Also for all we know it could very well be bugged to make the chances not what they should be anyway.

I just don't like how it's a Rare Offering that has a chance not to work either because no map offering was used and you had to guess if you should use it or all four survivors use a map offering. Should be a common / uncommon it's honestly stupid that it's a Rare Offering that could literally do nothing.
Not only are they harder to find because all the map offerings available but you likely never get use out of them. Would prefer that if they don't get used you get some sort of refund on them if they stay rare.
Yes I'm fine with the idea of going to a map I don't like if no map offerings were used - I get the purpose isn't to ban a map but to cancel out map offerings. It's still stupid in concept where you have to guess. You are essentially playing a mind game in the lobby to use these it feels like.

Several months ago I saw someone mention that of 7 games they played where they brought a green ward when someone else brought a map offering, all 7 ended up going to the offered map despite the green ward, which seems like phenomenal bad luck.
Honestly I think it might be worth double checking to make sure the code is working as intended, and to announce either "it wasn't working as intended" or "sorry you just got really unlucky"

They should stay green Offerings, but just not get burned if no Map Offering is used. We already have this Mechanic with Shrouds (where one Shroud can override another, the one which got overridden is not burned). No reason to keep it away from Sacrificial Wards.

I'm honestly fine with that - Just the whole concept that you spend BP just to gamble on it getting used and not getting to use anything else sucks. It's not the worst thing in the game but it just feels like insult to injury and isn't a fun offering. It either does jack ######### and you just outright lose BP and the offering or once in a blue moon it actually works.

except I pay attention. It's not just remembering the time it didn't work and forgetting the time it did. It has never worked (editing here) it has never worked on killer. When I use them as survivor it usually works and I have also noticed that when I burn a map offering and the killer does and they are different we will go to mine unless another survivor burns a different one we have an either or, As survivor I have never lost a map offering roll vs killer and as killer I have never won a roll vs a survivor map offering. I feel confident burning these as a survivor, both map offerings and sacrificial wards. As a killer it feels like so much more of a gamble because I lose every single time there is a competing offering map-wise. If it were a simple case of remembering only the failures I would not remember the massive difference in performance when I play survivor.

No, quite the opposite. I don't think there should be any ticket offers. Card offers usually serve as an advantage. Either it's good for the surv or the killer has an easy time there and the perks etc. are adjusted accordingly. In addition, survivors have the chance to decide more often, since 4 against 1 throw.
Card offers should be changed to card bans. Means if I don't want Midwitch, I cast that and get any other card. That way you don't necessarily have to play a stupid map.
