I'm using 2000 but it makes me feel a little bit wrong with that.

    Mouse polling rate? That's up to you and PC/mouse specs.

    Polling that high does eat up resources outside the scope of the game.

    Yes. I also tried 8000hz but the game screen was laggy, even 4000hz did not work well.
