Why Choose Huntress Lullaby over Devour?
Does anybody know why these Hex perks share the same token requirements? Is doctor solely keeping HHL in such a bad state? Devour Hope is better in literally every single way.
It provides haste per hook after 2 hooks, it provides insta down after 3 hooks, it has built in slowdown because as soon as it’s revealed survivors stop working on gens to find and cleanse it and it allows you to insta kill people regardless of hooks.
Meanwhile HHL is lit from the start just like Devour and is essentially useless unless going against streamers/ New people. I’ve used HHL in 10 games and received a total of 8 missed skill checks. I feel like it needs a change tbh.

I feel like Huntress's perks in general just got completely forgotten about by the devs it's pretty sad.

Huntress lullaby needs to be reworked and not buffed because It would be old Ruin again against New players.

Wraiths perks too! Imagine if bloodhound let you see pools of blood through walls up to 32 meters? It would go from F Tier to S Stier

I mean Lullaby technically does more than Devour at the start since the missed skillcheck penalty is a passive thing. Still not worth picking it over devour unless you're playing Doctor maybe.
I agree it needs a buff. It shouldn't need 5 hooks to get to full power.

Should be reworked, it being buffed would make it too powerful.

i have to be the only one that thinks it's ok and strong enough. devour hope is without a doubt the strongest hex perk so any other hex will be inferior to it. maybe except crowd control which is incredibly underrated after its gigantic buff.
the only buff lullaby might need is lowering the hook requirement for completely silent skill checks.

While yes overall Devour is better, they have 2 entirely different purposes.

And don’t forget HHL is essentially entirely worthless unless on doctor. Third seal is better lmao.

Needs to be reworked. I think it would work cool if it was like plaything. Where after a hook, it makes that survivor's skill checks completely silent until they cleanse it.

That’s an awesome idea tbh! Coz if new people struggle to hit it then they can just cleanse the totem.

Right, and if it works like plaything they can see the aura of the totem when they are close-ish to it. So, like plaything, it can be totally ignored if you are able to, or if not, you can find it much easier than you can find a regular hex totem. It also creates another perk that can be a cool synergy for plaything/pentimento.

Also, unlike plaything, it actively encourages you to not tunnel. Because if they have worse skillchecks, you WANT them trying to work gens and wasting time, or cleansing the totem. Whereas with plaything you kind of want to go after the person with oblivious.

That is also a perk with an entirely different purpose

Except your forgetting Devour has way better slowdown than HHL. So the point still stands.

The entire game is filled with stronger and weaker perks. Some perks just aren't that good or get their strength from taking the other side by surprise.
If you could see blood trails at 32 meters your screen might get so overloaded with information that it would make playing the game difficult.
BH serves a purpose in helping new players.
It's also not really F tier even if its not that strong, it can be used with either sloppy and a hit and run build or a dedicated tunneler - the extra time those blood trails last can be very useful.

they will not buff hex:lullaby because old hex:ruin problem. The way to properly buff it would be to add that normal-checks regress the generator by 5%. The problem is that it makes the perk a near 80%+ pick-rate perk. It would be stronger corrupt intervention while giving you a game-changing slowdown if the totem is not found.

What??? Devour isnt even a slowdown perk. Sure you can say they waste time looking for the totem, but same applies to Lullaby

Huntress Lullaby is very dated and needs a rework. So much work for so little and there's the possibility you won't even see the reward.

You'd be surprised how good Huntress Lullaby can be on Doctor but mostly it's a very mediocre perk.
It's one of the strongest (if not the strongest) things against less experienced survivors but it's a wasted perk against good players. The problem is that they can't really buff it because it's already quite powerful when it actually works. But at the same time it's useless when survivors can hit skill checks anyway. So they'd need to rework it and we all know how slow the devs are when it comes to these.

Why would you run a perk which is only good vs bad/new players. You can beat them with anything anyways. You want to run perks which help you compete vs people who are as good as you

i always run both when its a hex build since both have hook requirements

I admit I prefer Lullaby over Devour for fun factor but you get more mileage out of Devour quicker than Lullaby. Lullaby is still mostly RNG because while it's strong once you get 4/5 tokens a survivor even getting a skillcheck is the issue. It's a perk that can be ignored while Devour can't.
I do run Lullaby on Freddy but it's more of a gimmick than anything doing that.

Why would you run a perk which is only good vs bad/new players.
Same reason I only use 2 perks at the moment. Because I can. Also, you can use it in the "Skill Issue" build. It consists of Huntress Lullaby, Distressing, Unnerving Presence and Undone on Doctor with Restraint and Calm Addons (in case it's fixed, pick Order instead). This is good enough to beat most survivors with absolutely no trouble.
You want to run perks which help you compete vs people who are as good as you
I did not defend Huntress Lullaby. It's a bad perk and it should be reworked, I agree. It's just a perk that is cruel against beginners.

I would absolutely say it’s a slowdown perk. Especially if you combine it with undying so they have to cleanse it twice. Because ALL survivors will stop working on gens to find it. A lot of survivors will just ignore Lullaby and only cleanse it if they stumble across it. Devour forces you off gens or pay the price.
