The hooking animations seem a bit odd?

Hi, this is a very small question which is mostly for curiosity. I realized that with the mid chapter update of Alan Wake, the hooking animations seemed to be a lot smoother, especially for males.

But with the release of the All things Wicked chapter, the hooking animations returned to feeling a little wonky (the hands and body of the survivor do not match the hook)


I just wanted to know if it was intentional or if there is a way to make them smooth again.
