Need a better way to report cheaters
The in-game report feature is a joke and doesn't seem to work at all. I've reported the same person 3 times that I've run into using very obvious speed/wall hacks and nothing has happened.
I also just ran into a Doc playing survivor who had his terror radius turned off the whole game. He still had a red stain half of the time just no terror radius.
I see play against or with a cheater every day now and there's no way to submit reports with clips which is a joke.

What I don't understand is why it's technically impossible (apparently) for the game servers to automatically detect when someone is doing something that shouldn't be possible in the game. I recently played a game where the survivors used DS every single time I picked them up - like at least 10 times LOL. Why does it remain an elusive technical impossibility to have a game server automatically detect and ban players when this type of thing happens in the game? Instead we are forced into this incredibly tedious and time-consuming manual reporting process which most people don't bother with.

It's even worse if you're on console because you can't see their steam account which you need to make a meaningful report online

I've also seen an uptick in questionable survivor gameplay recently. Wallhacks where I can actually see them react immediately to direction changes due to me using a lot of aura perks at places they have no way of knowing which way I'm going to go. Suspect speed hacks & injured survivors going back to full health mid chase.
I don't record any games, but once you've played this game long enough you just know when something feels out of place.

I don't know about meaningful, however the Steam ID isn't required for the report, they changed that a few years back.
Yeah their reporting system does really need overhauling. Us consolers are spared from Chat Box issues sure. But for everything else it's a pain to report and video is needed for most offenses. So our Switch cousins are super boned here, as their ability to record their matches was removed several years back. Dunno what they're supposed to do.

I've got a feeling most of the hacking comes from Epic games accounts. In the past the game has been free there so anyone could have made multiple accounts. They also have reduced prices in other countries so people could probably pick it up for next to nothing using VPNs.
Most of the questionable stuff I've came across seems to be pretty exclusive to accounts outside Steam.

Haha I should have clarified but I was afraid of being ridiculed... I am switch cousin :(
As for the chat box issues. I wish I could participate in the chats after games; just for the funny interactions, even if it gets toxic sometimes

More and more cheaters are now acting like, "If you can go around the loop that well, then that shouldn't be your waiting position, right?" They don't think they know what they did. It is true that the number of non-Steam accounts is increasing, and the current situation where we can report to Valve on Steam, but we have no choice but to rely on unreliable dev, is further promoting cheating.
