burn out

Start something. Anything. Get good at it. Get bored with it. My life in a nutshell. My killer main is almost P96 and I just can't bring myself to play to 100.

I love dbd and don't want to take a break but lately it has felt forced. If I take a break I'll stop caring and won't return for 2 or 3 years. Lately I'll sit down to play, stare at the screen for a bit, and exit.

It's frustrating.

Sounds like a break is exactly what you need if you can't get 4 levels. After grinding countless hours on the event challenges, I decided to switch things up today.

Take a break. You aren't enjoying it anymore so why force yourself? If you don't touch the game for 2-3 years then maybe the break was a good idea. You can still watch streamers and stuff of the game if you don't want to completely forget about it, but don't make yourself continue playing something that makes you unhappy.

I have burned out on DBD many times and taken months away from the game, my longest break was 9 months and I swore I was never coming back to the game as I was very over it all. Yet here I am… back again after several other breaks of months at a time.

I stopped saying I will never come back as I have come back too many times and you may well do this too.

That being said I have several friends who gave up with all the anti loop killers entering the game and some of them have never returned and they were 5k hour + players.

Taking a break can especially help if the current state of the game is not to your liking. After a few adjustment periods you might come back to a whole new game.

The lads were a little behind schedule after the mission to secure the horses, bossman, but everything is in tip-top condition now.
