Akiko's life had always been a solitary one. Growing up, she was a shy, introverted child, often

overlooked and ignored by her busy, indifferent parents. As she got older, Akiko struggled to make

meaningful connections with her peers, finding it easier to retreat into her own imagination than to

navigate the complexities of social interaction.

Desperate for companionship and a sense of belonging, Akiko became obsessed with the lives of

others, particularly those she saw as strong, confident, and admired by their peers. She would spend

hours observing them from afar, meticulously cataloging their routines, habits, and relationships.

Akiko's obsession quickly spiraled out of control.

She began stalking the person, learning their every move and secretly inserting herself into their life.

At first, it was small, innocuous gestures - leaving gifts, "accidentally" crossing paths, offering to help

with mundane tasks. But as they remnained oblivious to Akiko's true intentions, her fixation grew

more intense and disturbing

Sensing Akiko's dangerous obsession, the Entity saw an opportunity to add a new, uniquely twisted

killer to its Realm. The Entity approached Akiko, offering her a chance to be with the person

forever, if she would only serve as its loyal servant. Desperate to claim the Survivor as her own,

Akiko accepted the Entity's bargain without hesitation. In that moment, her fragile psyche shattered,

and she was transformed into "The Lover" - a stalker-like killer driven by an all-consuming desire.

POSSESSION'S EMBRACE

Upon activation, the Lover swiftly sprints to a locker at an

unnaturally rapid pace, seamlessly slipping inside without a

sound. While ensconced within the locker, The Lover sheds her

terror radius, becoming an unseen presence lurking in the

shadows. From this vantage point, she can spend a token to

spectate the survivor's perspective, observing their actions and

movements with eerie precision. With keen insight into the

survivor's endeavors, The Lover may choose to expend another

token to seize control of their actions. As the possessed survivor,

she gains the ability to perform all standard survivor tasks -

repairing generators, cleansing totems, healing allies - blending

seamlessly into the façade of a fellow survivor. However, should

The Lover decide to reveal her true nature, she can swiftly

transition back into Akiko's form with a swift gesture. In an instant, she transforms from a seemingly benevolent ally into a relentless killer, ready to strike with lethal intent and unyielding determination.

"Beloved"

In addition to The Lover's unique Possession's Embrace" ability, she

also has a passive ability that replaces the standard Obsession"

mechanic with a new dynamic called "Beloved". When The Lover

enters a trial, one of the survivors is randomly designated as her

"Beloved". This survivor cannot be damaged by The Lover, as they hold

a special status in her twisted obsession. However, if the "Beloved"

survivor performs certain actions to aid or protect other survivors -

such as healing, unhooking, mending, or body blocking - all remaining

survivors will be afflicted with the "Exposed" status effect for 30

seconds. Additionally, the aura of a random survivor (not the

"Beloved ") will be revealed during this time. The "Beloved" survivor's

aura is also permanently revealed to The Lover once all other survivors

have been sacrificed or killed. At this point, The Lover gains the ability

to Mori the "Beloved" survivor, even if they are standing or downed,

fulfilling her twisted obsession.

IF NOT THE BELOVED. THE LOVER APPROACHES THE HELPLESS SURVIVOR, HER KNIFE GLINTING IN THE DIM LIGHT. WITH A

SWIFT, PRACTICED MOTION, SHE PLUNGES THE BLADE INTO THE SURVIVOR'S CHEST, TWISTING IT CRUELLY. THE

SURVIVOR LETS OUT A STRANGLED GASP BEFORE THE LOVER YANKS THE KNIFE FREE, LETTING THEIR LIFELESS BODY

CRUMPLE TO THE GROUND.THE LOVER REGARDS THE FALLEN SURVIVOR WITH A COLD. DETACHED EXPRESSION. WIPING

THE BLOOD FROM HER KNIFE BEFORE TURNING HER ATTENTION ELSEWHERE.

IF THE BELOVED. THE LOVER CARESSES THE BELOVED'S FACE TENDERLY, HER KNIFE HELD LOOSELY IN HER OTHER HAND.

SHE GAZES INTO THEIR EVES, A TWISTED AFFECTION REFLECTED IN HER OWN. WITH A SUDDEN, FLUID MOTION, SHE

PRESSES THE BLADE AGAINST THE BELOVED'S THROAT, DRAWING A THIN LINE OF BLOOD.THE BELOVED LOOKS UP AT THE

LOVER, THEIR EXPRESSION A MIX OF FEAR AND RESIGNATION. THE LOVER LEANS IN, WHISPERING WORDS OF TWISTED

DEVOTION, BEFORE SWIFTLY SLICING THE BELOVED'S THROAT. SHE HOLDS THEM CLOSE AS THE LIFE FADES FROM THEIR

EYES, A SATISFIED SMILE PLAYING ON HER LIPS.
