Whats with the new forums meta
Why does it seem like every other post here recently about toxicity, or whats wrong with dbd, or what the devs should buff / nerf / change next is posted by a new account as their first post.
Half the time they don't even come back to respond to the comments its like someone on some other platform god mad enough they came here to make it seem more of a widespread problem or someone keeps making alts for some reason.
Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me

Yeah its kinda strange when it happens, in regards of talking about the new accounts not commenting. It might be that the comments weren't agreeing with them/on their side, this is just a guess.
I've seen some new accounts comment when the comments on their post are a mix bagged though. They might be alt accounts, but I don't understand why someone would go through with the whole set up just to make a single post.

I'd say that is probably just people trolling and trying to start drama. If they actually cared to defend their take, they'd post on their actual account.

I bet it's people storming over here after a salty match to make a riled up post they then forget about after cooling off 20 minutes later.
It's annoying, but harmless imo

I too have noticed a swarm of no-profile-pic accounts with petty complaints

These forums are pretty unpleasant overall. Everyone is miserable about something and they will post about it even if it's not relevant to the discussion at hand. New users, old users, it's constant drama and despair over every little thing.

That have been the forum meta since the begining (well at least since January 2019 when I registered).
The only changing thing are the perks and killers they complain about.

Oh yeah, that has been happening since I started posting in the forums. Not only that, but there are times that coincidentally all those "No-profile-pic, Unconfirmed" new account posts are about the same topics. Coincidentally.

They might have been but ive been seeing an abundance of them recently, instead of there being maybe 1 post like that every 2-3 days it seems daily we get multiple new account first post complaints, the amount has gone up

Well us vs them is allowed because its kinda hard to not let it be, psychologically people will associate with one side of the game more than the other and any change to it will feel like a personal attack. Expecting everyone to be fully conscious of it and able to separate themselves from it at all times is kind of a big ask. Sure it ruins discussion a bit to say they can't change this because this. But most of the time when people make changes they also make it from bias so judging it from bias at the same time only makes sense.

It does seem like, based on the comments, nothing has changed. Someone loses a few games and chooses one thing to be mad at. This can be perks, Killers, or player interactions.

Its not a new phenomenon. For years -especially killer biased- players did make alternate accounts to upvote specific toppings or repeat them week after week.

These forums are pretty good compared to other gaming forums I've been on (the overwatch forums being the most obvious) Where people just don't understand the game all that well lobby for changes to xyz character or for xzy op character to not be changed. (I don't know how people find the time I don't believe they believe what they type but that's just what I think)
Most people on here I don't get that impression from they just think what they think and type it.
Compared to most forums these are the most pleasant I've seen.

I don't think these Forums are unpleasant.
I joined it over four years to try and get my favorite killer back, and I've met so many amazing people here!
Sure, we can get some bad situations from time to time, but overall it is pleasant.

I wouldn't be surprised if the new accounts starting a discussion belong to the same person.
It's just easier to moan and get a response by being edgy, than either construct a decent argument to something they disagree with or write something positive.
