Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Okay is there a way to fix this?

So I'm trying to play a match or two but I'm constantly jittering left and right and it's not lag since my connect at make is about 58 but never sky rockets that often so why am I constantly jittering and how do I fix it.

Edit: I'm not downloading anything and I'm on console also it's those dimond looking things. It only happens anytime I move or do anything.

It is most likely from your side even with the low ping but there are some things you could try to resolve the issue.

First, check https://downdetector.co.uk/ and find your ISP, this website will tell you if they had any intermittent issues today.

Secondly, you could try restarting your Wi-Fi hub (turn it off for 5 minutes then turn it back on) and also checking for loose wires on your modem or console, maybe your chord is faulty? (might not be but this could be an issue).

Thirdly, you can force a 5g connection by changing the Wi-Fi frequency band (so it doesn't switch between 2g and 5g and forces a stable connection) by going to your network, pressing options and switching the connection to "5g only" (this is how you'd do it on PS5, not sure if Xbox or previous versions allow you to also do this). You can also go into the advanced settings in your connected internet connection and change your MTU setting, usually lower is better, you can try anything between 1200-1500, if it's under this you will most likely disconnect.

Fourth, you could try port forwarding via your hub to your console, this also helps solve NAT issues by forcing an open NAT type (the constant handshake connection could be the issue here).

check if you've updated your driver latelly and if so rewind it to the last version. If you're on ps5 make sure you're up to date on software otherwise it's just poor connection.

    For Steps 1 + 2:

Go on google and type "down detector + (your internet company providers name here)" then click the first link and check the chart to see if they are having any issues in the country, if there's yellow and red dots on the map, then yes they are.

    ISP = internet service provider

Wi-Fi hub = your internet box

Faulty Chord = in this instance it's the internet wire connecting into the back of your console, unless you're wired then you can skip this step

For Step 3 if you are on PS5:

On your console go to settings > Network > settings > and where it says "Setup internet connection, press Options on this setting and you'll see "advanced options, 2g/5g wifi etc

All you need to do here is switch "wifi frequency bands" to 5G and in "advanced settings" change "MTU to "1472".

    For step 4:

It might be better for you to ignore this step if you're not too sure what you're doing here mate.

    Could it be packet loss?
