Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

A perk I feel like will be nerfed

So BHVR has this thing where they change perks every once and while mainly ones in the meta. A survivor perk I a having will be changed is Off the record. To me I see the perk as Dead Hard mixed with DS. You gain the endurance statues after being saved for longer(Dead Hard minus the button but let's had Borrow to it since saving activates it) and interacting with something stops the timer(DS). As far as I know it's part of the meta since I constantly see it left and right but I don't really follow the meta since I find it boring and enjoy keeping my sorta solo build going.

If OTR is changed, I reckon it will be a buff. Currently OTR (aside from a bug) is not a very good perk and many have given feedback that a killer can simply hit you right after the unhook and get rid of it already, which kind of defies the purpose of OTR as it doesn't effectively turn tunneling into a 2 hit chase but more like a 1 hit chase with a bit of a head start for that survivor.

The difference is that the killer doesn't need to put in much work to get the first hit, which already drastically reduces the chase time. On top of that, the killer have an equally long chase between the unhooked survivor and the rescuer, which means the only difference to them is that 1 survivor was already hooked and can be killed faster.

Ok OTR is ok … it kind of backfires when used agressively and shouldn't be nerfed or buffed tbh … it's decent but is more situationnal than ppl think, i don't think it'll be that crazy to put the effects undefinitely until you get healed and then … maybe it's a bit much but …

First of all, the way to break a meta s not by nerfing meta stuff (apart if there is not interaction(looking at buckleup+ftp)) but by buffing the weak stuff … which is the reason why most ppl are upset about meta breaking …

I don't think OTR will be touched for a long time if it even is.

I think they realise tunnelling is a big issue in DBD at present and perks are a Band-aid fix until they perhaps introduce base mechanics that discourage tunnelling.

If you really want to punish tunnelling and I most certainly do, you run OTR with DS, DH and Unbreakable. So if a killer decides to tunnel you can take the hit with OTR, make sure you drag them away from gens and go down near a pallet, if they don't pick you up you Unbreakable or if they do (most do) you hit them with DS which will reset your endurance so you have DH available.

Any killer who chooses to tunnel you will regret this decision and I think that will stay in the game for a while yet.

Huh didn't know that I think it's also because I constantly think if I hit that survivor they get the basekit borrow time removed then OTR afterwards sorta a stack guess I was wrong so basically OTR is just a really longer version of Borrow time but with DS.
