Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Mmr still feels like it can be working against you.

Take a few days, weeks off? Why can't you come back to a "mmr rank evaluation" to allow you to not have to fight for your life to displease the entity or be the first survivor to meet it? Some of us can't be glued to dbd regardless of how much we enjoy it, but it is pain to return after a hiatus a lot of the time. Would it be so absurd to accommodate a few warm up matches for those of us who haven't played for a week plus? Not easy street but this game is a depreciable skill set. Time played in two weeks < 8hrs (mmr*modifier)= adjustment match mmr. In lieu of putting me against swf seal team 6 my first several games back as a killer or the converse easy tunnel as survivor. I'd wager a lot of players stopped coming back for reasons as such. I did edit this discussion, if you read it prior I apologize for being negative and speaking from frustration.

Every game can be a warm up game. You just have to not be placing the requirement to get an easy 3-4k. Focus on getting back into the rhythm and enjoying the game and you will bounce back.

    Eaaier said than done :(

I main Onyro but occasionally I will switch to a p2 or 3 killer of mine and I get a lobby full of 80+. Sometimes levels mean nothing but for me they do. It’s so frustrating. I switch to Onyro my highest lobby victims are 9…. πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘

I'd settle for a 1k or even 6 hooks. Frustration spoke through me a bit, but to come back after some time away is more than mildly frustrating. I'm not terrible at the game, not elite either but I feel like it is just holding my mmr where it was when I played a lot which really just bottlenecks me into crushing loss after loss. Aren't losses supposed to adjust mmr? Or was that scrapped for the same reason the original rank structure got scrapped?

I had thought that was how it was supposed to be structured. I know it has a mmr for each of your killers and when you use a different one it balances your starting mmr based on your top 3. Losses still should move you down I am not sure how much you drop though.

I'm extending my break for a bit longer for a similar reason.

I don't know if this is a wider experience or it's just me, but all of the relatively chill Survivors and Killers have seemingly disappeared from my games. DBD has been a lot of hard work recently and I just don't have the energy for it right now. That said, a "chill" game for me is a potentially stressful one for the opponent, so there are always two sides to the experience. I just wish my games had a bit more variety to them.

Add to that burn out and a low tolerance for the usual DBD irritations, I've decided it's best I stay away from the game until the next big update.

It can often feel like MMR doesn't exist in this game. Truth is, sometimes it really doesn't. You're often only in the lobby to get a trial started for the other players who have been waiting for a while. And if less players are playing at the moment (often the case after a big event), skill differences can be very dramatic.
