I need to take a break

I have been playing since 2019, almost every day, only took one longer break since I started playing, I suffer from a severe burnout and I'm not really happy with the state of the game and haven't been for a while, basic changes that take no programming time to implement instead take months or even years…

The game is becoming way less fun for both sides for the sake of balance, which wouldn't be a bad thing if fun things came aswell, but they don't, the gameplay is still the same, more and more loading screen interactions are implemented like the new Invocation perk, new killer powers are just mixes of older powers, offerings still suck, Shrine of Secrets is still a waste of Shards, after ~8 years there are still no new items to spice up the gameplay for Survivors, new changes also suck as you can see with the Twins rework which took ~2 years to make…

I'm hoping to take a longer break than usual, maybe skip some chapters, probably come back for some events. Wish you guys good luck and take care.

    I feel the same way. I just finished the rift and will be taking a long break again. The game just isn't fun. There's so many negatives that completely outweight the positives. Killer is stressful. Survivor is miserable. Skill expression is being removed and the game feels stale and boring.

    And it feels like the devs are more concerned with statistics that do not tell the whole story rather than listening to their dedicated playerbase and especially veterans. They seem completely out of touch with what this game actually needs.

    It's a shame, I really love this game. But the devs have been pushing it in a direction that has started to wither down that love.
