Gotta love when this happens. Please remove DC penalties
I get a P100 epic games store cheater, DC with the entire lobby of survivors confirming they're cheating and I'M the one punished with a 15 minute penalty… Thx, BHVR!

Better than the A.I. hacking Billy I've ran into like 4 times this week and still isn't banned, instantly teleporting and downing everyone and hooking

15 minutes doesn’t happen because of 1 game of cheaters.

They get banned it's just it doesn't matter because the anticheat isn't full proof and they just hop accounts in less than a minute. I've gotten the same person banned multiple times but it doesn't matter.

No afraid not, they're live streaming themselves doing it and trying to sell the cheat but I'm not allowed to post their name as crazy as that is

15mins happens when you DC from 3 matches in 24h timestamp :D

I keep reading that a lot of the cheaters are people who got a bunch of Epic accounts back DBD was offered for free. Wouldn't an easy solution be to disable all those free accounts that haven't been activated yet? If you signed up for a free account that long ago and haven't used it yet, it's 100% likely that you're just using it as a burner account to cheat. Seems like this would at least resolve a decent percentage of the cheating.

In fact I just now had him again make that 5 times in less than a week and he streams on YouTube but for some reason it's always on midwich and no other map the March ends in less than 30 seconds he teleports and swings a thousand times then teleports you to a hook and immediately goes for everyone else and will immediately slug if people are nearby

The problem is with the games code and garbage anti-cheat, not the DC penalty. Advocate for improvements to the game, not make it easier to rage quit so we never have matches where people stay till the end.

Agreed. You must’ve dced at least 7 other times that day.

This is exactly why I don't bother - some of them have free reign on YT / Twitch - I can't call them out even though YT / Twitch algorithm is literally recommending their content to me just because it's DBD related.
Also all of you replying about them DC'ing prior are missing the point - Who cares if they DC'd on their own outside of a game with a cheater. They have a valid point quit dismissing it.
During the last event I ended up DC'ing twice because multiple cheaters holding the game hostage. These things happen and it's frustrating because most of us unlucky enough to encounter these cheaters just have to eat ######### for the game. Not all of us have all day to play games.

no just i've been getting blatant cheaters often for these last 30 days where i haven't seen them i ages prior. BHVR needs to get on too of this. They make everyone insta wiggle off and hold the match hostage by making a survivor unhookable.

The fact that they DC outside of this match invalidates that point, though.
If they don't DC normally, the one game where they see a cheater would be a non-issue. The DC penalty for just DCing once is a single minute, which is trivial to wait out because of a cheater. It doesn't happen that often, and you can just spend that time spending bloodpoints or looking at challenges or whatever.
If they do DC normally in games that don't have cheaters… the DC penalty exists to penalise them for doing that. The one match they had a reason is irrelevant, they still DC in matches where they don't have that reason and that's why the DC penalty exists. They aren't being penalised with fifteen minutes of matchmaking lock for facing a cheater, they're being penalised with fifteen minutes of matchmaking lock for DCing multiple times. The cheater is incidental here.
